Hated Tropes (Hated Trope) False advertising
- The marketing makes it seem like the movie is about Austin (the unbreakable boy) who is autistic, but rather it's about his prick of a father who caused a drunk driving accident
- The talking kangaroo was included in all of the trailers and the main poster but was only a hallucination and was seen for like 30 seconds (Kangaroo Jack)

Positive Example: Marvel
In the movie, he has more Infinity Stones than this trailer shot.
This specific instance is a good bit of false advertising. But I think Marvel's also guilty of screwing with audiences. For example, the trailers for Iron Man 3 and Avengers 2 were much more mature/darker than what we got. Iron Man 3 also hyped up the Ben Kingsley Mandarin, and we all know what happened next.
