Hated Tropes An adaptation completely botches the original theme and message

Mulan(2020)-They give Mulan superpowers which is not only lame it goes against the message of the original about equality and struggle, plus they removes Shang because apparently having Mulan date her superior was "problematic" even though Shang genuienely respected Mulan and their rank was never brought up

I am Legend(2007)-You know why the story is called "I am legend"? SPOILER ALERT the protagonist is the actual monster, humanity is gone and the vampires have a actual society and the protagonist kills and terrorize them

Animal Farm(2026)-On the very slim chance that Andy Serkis ever sees this, here's the thing Andy,Animal Farm was not a children work it was not supposed to have a happy ending, you never heard of cautionary tales before?

SADLY, this will prob never happen. As someone who studies history, let me tell you one thing that is painfully well known: people don't like to admit they have a problem, CAUSE to admit you have a problem is admitting you're wrong; to admit there is something wrong, and humans would rather die than ever admit they are in the wrong.

Hence why Pride is a sin. All the sins are healthy in good amounts; it's when Wrath becomes uncontrollable violence, when Sloth becomes the inability to move, when Greed becomes obsessive, when Gluttony becomes obesity, when Envy becomes destructive, when Lust becomes so powerful you can't stop yourself,

finally, when Pride becomes so powerful, you cannot admit you are addicted or obsessed, or in a bad mentality, because to admit you have a problem is to go against the idea you're perfect. If that doesn't sum up Adi's entire thing, then I don't know what does.

For real, I’ve never seen someone display pride in such a way that it can practically be said to be the exact sort described in the Bible. I don’t know how someone reaches that level of ego in their life, but I imagine it can be pretty scary to live around someone like that; feeling like you’re walking on thin ice and any little crack could be your end has to be awful.

Pride is a funny thing, its both a sin and natural to feel. Ask anyone who made something that become well known, like the creator of the Game Boy Color, and they will show pride in it. The issue is when that pride becomes so powerful they think they are perfect. Cause, as a certain anime mad scientist said, "Perfection is a lie." We, as a species, always improve and change things. Perfection is the absence of that. PRIDE and the idea of Perfection go hand in hand.

Oh, it's the worst. I used to live with someone like that, and let me tell you. Walking around on eggshells HORRIBLE. HONESTLY, I feel bad for Adi. I don't hate him; I pity him. Cause dude is fighting some mental battle 100%, Honestly, what Adi reminds me of is those people who say "I'm fine" while they are pondering if they should make themselves PAST TENSE, if you catch my drift. Adi is so obsessed with the idea of "my haters." WHILE yes, people like that exist, He lets their existence motivate him, which is a horrible thing to do.

I once was like Adi, and I hated a group of people who I thought betrayed me, and I let that hatred fuel me. Hatred is more self-destructive than it seems, Cause once you get back at the people you hate, It doesn't go "okay, bye"; no, it turns onto a new target and so on and so on till every bridge you ever built is nothing but ashes, and you're left alone on that little island, and that hatred doesn't just disappear; then it turns onto you. LUCKY for me, I stopped myself before that, BUT I seen people who didn't stop themselves, and those people are now PAST TENSE.

The Adi's entire thing reminds me of myself when I was a teenager; to be fair, most teenagers are like that. BUT most outgrow it; Adi hasn't. So yeah, I don't hate Adi; instead, I pity him, cause hes doing what the haters want, and letting them infest his thoughts.

I agree 100%. I pity him too, sometimes I wonder if he didn’t have someone in his life to guide him properly and help him understand things. It’s awful seeing something like that happen to a person, and it’s even worse seeing how they destroy themself in pursuit of that anger and pride. No one should go through such a thing.

I’m glad to hear you’re doing better with it and stopped yourself before it got worse. And I hope others can take similar actions you took before they become too self destructive.

I see a lot of his posts and how they always seem like he’s really desperate for attention, and it makes me wonder if he wasn’t treated well as a child by his peers. Maybe his parents weren’t all that present in his life. If any of that is the case, it really is a sad thing to see. I’ve seen it happen to some people and it makes me sad every time.
