Hated Tropes An adaptation completely botches the original theme and message

Mulan(2020)-They give Mulan superpowers which is not only lame it goes against the message of the original about equality and struggle,plus they removes Shang because apparently having Mulan date her superior was "problematic" even though Shang genuienely respected Mulan and their rank was never brought up

I am Legend(2007)-You know why the story is called "I am legend"? SPOILER ALERT the protagonist is the actual monster,humanity is gone and the vampires have a actual society and the protagonist kills and terrorize them

Animal Farm(2026)-On the very slim chance that Andy Serkis ever sees this,here's the thing Andy,Animal Farm was not a children work it was not supposed to have a happy ending,you never heard of cautionary tales before?

The live action lilo and stitch had her sister give up custody of Lilo to the state so she could go to college

TO STUDY MARINE BIOLOGY NO LESS!!

Nani left to go study marine biology in California.

The live action was SO cute in some parts, but it completely fell flat in the end, IMO.

To be fair, California has some of the oldest oceanographic institutions in the world.

Hawaii has some of the best marine biology schools in the world

EDIT: I don't know where I heard this but I don't have any data or experience to back it up. So ignore me

Does it really? UCSD Scripps is insanely good. You may be confusing Hawaii's fantastic location and beauty with academic strength.

You can literally look up the rankings. Hawaii has a lot of good things for it, and UH has some good programs. But UH is definitely a tier below UC in research and academics. That's just a matter of stronger networks and bigger wads of funding.
