Today I realized the episode of GMMB where Stevie visits Miss Bliss at John F Kennedy Jr High was a character stand in. You know, the episode where Zack Morris fakes being on his deathbed to get a kiss from Stevie, the popstar, in a bet with Mikey?

Yeah, I just today realized Stevie was supposed to be Tiffany. Similar looks, it was glaringly obvious. I've seen that episode over the years at least a dozen times. Listened to some of her biggest songs quite a few times over thebyears

It was seeing the brief Cyndi Lauper video of "Good Enough" in the Goonies, one of my favorite childhood movies with dozens of viewings for my brain to make that connection. Funny how that works.

Bet you thought it was going to be a GMMB = SBTB post.

For those who don’t know, Ivan Pavlov was a Russian physiologist who discovered classical conditioning. He noticed that dogs salivated just by being given food, and discovered how to make dogs salivate on cue, just by wringing a bell. By wringing a bell when giving the dogs food, it trained the dogs to expect food when they hear the bell, thus making their brains trigger something in them, that makes them salivate, when they hear it.

Mobile games do the EXACT same thing, when vibrating when they give us some type of positive reward. I’ve noticed it in so many games, and it makes you want to play the game more, and now the vibrations themselves will cause you to produce dopamine. I mean none of this is new, and social media algorithms are set up like casino games, it’s just I didn’t realize that specifically was going on, with the vibrations.

So today I realized Cows are just (adult) female cattle and isn't actually fully a animal. I just thought cattle was like some animal in the wild like bulls, Apparently not. I believed cows were a different animal MY WHOLE LIFE. 😭🙏

In my defense, English is not my first language, and all my life I thought that the English word for Harlequin is not Harlequin but Arlechino (thank you Genshin). And today I had to Google a proper spelling for some project..... I feel so dumb.

Thats it, im 40.

And they were born in 2012!!!!

Father Time keeps tickin’!!!

(NSFW-ish) Throwaway account just to get this off my chest. I just left a therapy appointment realizing just how much I don't like being intimate with men. I thought I did, because I was good at it, but I realized today that I only was good at it because I really had to try hard to enjoy it for myself.

It was just easier to believe that my issue with being attracted to men was that I had to do all the work. That is why I completely lose interest in male partners who are great in bed so quickly, no matter how healthy the relationship is.

I thought i was bi. I was wrong. I haven't had the chance to date a woman since my freshman year of college (i haven't dated anyone in close to 5 years now). But hey, coming out in my 30s and dating women exclusively despite my inexperience should be a breeze, right? /s

And you know what is weird? I've always known it as "All around me are familiar faces" and nothing else. That was until I discovered "Mad world" by Tears for Fears last night and immediately thought "Hey wait these are the same lyrics as all around me are familiar faces!" And then I googled it, only to find out that the Gary Jules piano rendition I've always heard is a COVER.

I just realised that Don Leno from the Shark Tale movie is a *loan shark.* My husband is clowning me pretty bad.

I've been watching Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead for over 30 years now and it just hit me today that the receipts Carolyn and Bruce shuffle through when they are trying to get dirt on Sue Ellen are fake. Sue Ellen put them there to make it look like the party had legitimate expenses, but the receipts are fake and/or inflated to help cover the petty cash she and the kids took! I missed the name of the valet company on the receipt, but it was just Kenny's friends parking cars. Same with "Bodacious Sculptures in Ice" - it was Kenny's friend doing the ice sculpture. "KC Catering" was Kenny Crandall Catering!

Which is the Roman name of the god and would've been confused with the dog called Pluto.

& swears they'd never repeat that behavior with you, he may think he's being sincere in the moment he says it. But if he starts to act in similar patterns with you, trust your gut.

I just realised that read and read are spelt the same and have different purposes. “You should read this book. I’ve already read that book.” How did I never notice this. No wonder people struggle to learn the English language.

I was today years old when I realized the protagonist of Office Space is named Peter probably because of the Peter Principle that states employees rise to the level of their incompetence. ::face-palm::

Someone recently told me about ceiling fans that have lights built into them. At first I thought they meant two separate fixtures. But no. Apparently there are ceiling fans with an actual light installed in the center. For some reason, my brain refused to accept this concept, I didn't think it was possible and even if it was, there was no way those two could possibly co-exist on one gadget and not interfere with each other. I kept imagining the fan blocking the light or casting weird shadows everywhere as it spun around. It just sounded impractical. Then I visited a friend’s apartment. She turned on her ceiling fan, and suddenly the room filled with soft light from the fixture built into it. I stared at it for a moment, trying to see if I would catch a glimpse of malfunction, but it didn’t happen. The fan spun smoothly while the light stayed perfectly stable. It actually looked really nice. Now I’m slowly warming up to the idea. It saves ceiling space and combines two useful things into one fixture. A few weeks ago I thought it was ridiculous. Now I’m secretly browsing pictures of them on amazon and alibaba, comparing specs and shipping cost and wondering if I should install one.

I just realized one reason why apple has an event in march, because we just had tax returns around the same time. Everyone hopefully gets some money back and suddenly there's a new device that is better then before... the temptation is strong in this one. u/Apple u/smartmarketing

it just occured to me that she streams to 4 regions.

I went through a period of my life where I felt like no matter where I went, people would see me for the failure I am even if they didn't know me, talk to me, or even look at me. I do the same with messages. I don't message some people because if I'm at my lowest, I feel like they'll end up knowing how much of a failure I am. It's easier to talk to the safer people. It still is hard. I don't even know if I'm making any sense because I feel like I'm typing outside of my body.

Basically in my corner of the world Teenage Mutant Ninja Tutles got caught up in moral panic about ninjas and martial arts and also a wider debate around violence in children's content and was rebranded as Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles. I always assumed there was some sort of weird shenanigans as there was with Ghostbusters/The Real Ghostbusters or some sort of weird thing like how both the UK and US had cartoon and comic characters called Denis The Menace (both of whom debuted in comic form on the exact same day but were completely unrelated).

Or prehaps Ninja Turtles was sort of like a generic way of saying the shows name to people who never really watched it because it had Turtles who were ninjas.

The show we saw was actually censored too allegedly. With the nunchuka scenes being particularly targeted.

And I am very sorry but familiarity is a strong force. To me Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles sounds correct and better.
