Orthodox community in Jerusalem were reportedly attacked by Israeli forces for standing in solidarity with Palestine.

This dispute has absolutely nothing to do with Palestine. This dispute is about military drafting.

Drafting for what?
4
u/hoosier_catholic 5h ago
Mandatory service in the IDF

u/16198008455 5h ago
So, killing Palestinians.

u/hoosier_catholic 5h ago
These same hasidem make up the bulk of settlers in the West Bank; so, don't take their reluctance to be drafted is in charity of Palestinians lol

The Orthodox community isn't trying to protect Palestinians or feel the war is unjust. They just feel that they are suppose to be constantly exercising their religion without the burden of IDF service.

u/dawgblogit 6h ago
No they are not. They don't believe in serving... they are protesting sending their people to the front. These are the same people who are settling Palestinian areas

See this is why they don't show the Civil War is going on in that country

Yeah nothing to do with being pro-palestinian. These are free riders that cause most of the trouble in the settlement area refusing to serve in a war they helped start, and when the area is properly ethnically cleansed will move right in and set up shop.

An out-of-shape cop beating down civilians. Gotta love Benny's government.

The US Government probably hates this post because it makes the government that owns the presodent look bad. They REALLY want the world to believe Zioists (the modern day nazis) and literally all jewish people are one and the same.
Probably best to not trust anyone in the comments. If they're not bots they could still be part of the crowd sourced propoganda program in Israel.

God's chosen people huh...

u/Galitzianer0 6h ago
Just for anyone that thinks chosen denotes superiority, being "chosen" in the context of Judaism means having to follow additional commandments, not that Jews think they're better than others

That’s certainly not how it’s believed or carried
1
u/Galitzianer0 5h ago
Yes it absolutely is, by antisemites it's carried differently but not by Jews themselves

Why does this look like AI?

The camera work looks professional rather than from a phone. Smells like AI to me.

I love when dipshits post videos online and claim it is about X when they provide absolutely no evidence that it is about that.

this has nothing to do with support for Palestine. but conscription. and not for empathy with the Palestinians. but for selfish reasons.

If I say the state of Israel are Nazis while they beat up Jews, does that make me an antisemite?

Just because they’re “standing in solidarity” doesn’t mean they get a pass. They’re the same.

u/CaliOranges510 6h ago
Your comment is an actual example of anti-semitism. That’s like saying all Muslims are the same as the ones who perpetrated 9/11.

u/nDeadPurple 6h ago
These aren’t the people dropping bombs or ordering attacks, they’re being attacked by the same people dropping bombs. The IDF might be Jewish, but not all Jewish people are IDF.
That being said there may have been a point where these men supported the attacks. But to stand in solidarity with the victims shows me that they are trying to be better, and trying to lead by example.

The orthodox Jews have NEVER been Zionists. There core belief is that the jewish people should not have a homeland.

I didn’t know that, thank you.
I do know that Isreal didn’t exist before WW2. It was created so the Jewish people would have a safe place in the world. I also know that Isreal wasted no time violently expanding its borders. I ALSO know that not all Jewish people could be blamed or judged for the actions of a governing few. It’s easy to recognize the influence of propaganda and how messaging has warped the opinions of civilians.

to clarify for you :
We have issues with Israeli’s ; not Jews. Israeli’s being Jewish is not why people hate them.
2nd, you can definitely blame the general population of Israel. 80-93% of all Israeli citizens openly support the genocide.
In Israel, from childhood, they are raised to believe that Israel is a beacon of righteousness surrounded by filth. They are taught to believe that every single Palestinian is worthless - terrorists lying in wait, they openly believe that killing children is righteous so as not to let them grow up & take up arms against Israel. There are thousands of clips prominent Israeli’s speaking such beliefs.
They are invaders. & if nothing else, every single person on earth is born with the inalienable right to resist occupation by other people, by any means necessary. There is nothing more natural in human nature than fighting for your freedom, fighting against your oppressors. It’s one of the most natural instincts a human being has.Israel is a failed state at this point. They’d be a fucking crater if it weren’t for US military support. They’d have no iron dome, nor the interceptors to arm it even if they miraculously constructed it alone.
Israel is a rotten society, from the core to the outer layers. It is a textbook supremacist ethnostate. To folks like me, it’s never been about Judaism.
Make no mistake, there is antisemitism, all across the political spectrum. I’m not denying it exists.
But the idea that criticism is inherently antisemitic is just exhausting to me & likeminded folks.
It’s not their religion that bothers the world, it’s their behavior.Sidenote : I’ve always found it funny how they are so quick to label something as antisemitism, but when it comes to their own bigotry, they have no issues using Islam as a catch-all in their rhetoric.
It’s never “Iranians”, or “Lebanese”; it’s Muslims as a population, as a religion.
It’s ironic they engage in the behavior that they are constantly projecting onto anyone that stands against Israel.1

No they aren't. They're following "know better, do better" and standing up. No one is all the same in a country.

When I search this, I just see protests against conscription
