My grandma used to run a little shop selling knicknacks, miniature tea sets, figurines, etc. She constantly had to follow customers around because the little old ladies would rob her blind. She hated doing it so my sister just put a VCR with a camera on top with a little sign saying "Smile, you are on camera!". Neither were functional or even plugged in, but it finally stopped the shoplifting and my grandma didn't have to follow her customers around constantly.

My mom does this constantly and I can’t seem to get her to stop. She isn’t even that old, mid 60s, and she’ll take cheap little items from stores all the time. I don’t understand. I’ve told her countless times that I’d pay for what she wanted to get and she still does it. Last time it was a $3 sticker…
