Ulta is so annoying! I get asked if i need help no less than 6 or 7 times. And then they hover hard. LET ME BROWSE AND READ THE BACKS OF EVERY PRODUCT I will ask if I need help.
That’s funny how everyone’s comments are bad experiences at Ulta. I’ve never had that happen. They’ve asked me one time if I need help. I mainly go there for a haircut and color. I think mainly they ask me that , because I walk thru the makeup section to the back of the store where the hairdressers are. When I come into the store, I’m not wearing makeup and I’m basically like a blank canvas to them. Can’t blame them, they wanna look busy instead of just standing around.
Ugh Sephora does that, and when I say no they always say “oh I’m so sorry”. And it’s like, I came in for my ridiculously expensive facial care products, I know where they are, it’s taken me less than 5 minutes to from entering the store to end up at checkout.
“Sales associate” inside of a retail store is the most bullshit job ever. Leave me alone lol. I literally came in here to buy these products, I don’t need you talking me through it. And if I do, I’ll come and find you to ask.
Like seriously just leave me tf alone if you work in a store. I find it inappropriate for you to talk to me as a potential client, personally.
If you are a random person who doesn’t work in that store, sure, I would love sit there and chat with you. Because that’s a genuine human moment. Talking to a sale associate inside of the store they work at, is not a genuine human moment. So don’t harass me with that, please.
I'm a straight looking gay man, and I swear I walk in there PRAYING the employees ask me if I need help. Because yes, I do, I have no clue what I'm looking for but want to be pretty damn it.
I get that! Ask me once, MAYBE twice. But it gets crazy.
I bet the second someone asks if you need help you say "as a matter of fact, I do!" Meanwhile I put off the most leave me alone vibe I can, and say no 5-7 times lol.
I hate going into ulta for this very reason. I’m an adult woman in my 30s not a teenage girl, do you really think I’m here to steal your little lipgloss and hairpins?
Either that or they’ll ask “can I help you?” Hurriedly. Honestly I prefer that because I can just grab the shampoo I came for and just leave without being irritated.
Bath and Body Works is so bad about this. It's almost enough to put me off going there. Like I just want to smell all the candles before making my decision, leave me alone...
Fr. This one woman would not stop talking to me and following me around. It felt like she was trying to distract me from stealing when all she was doing was stopping me from shopping. So weird. Could not get get her off me until I went to the register. I said bye to her on my way out and she said nothing. Like act ur wage girl. BBW does not care that you play offense for them in your free time.
B&BW employees want you to remember their name, I think. Every single time I shopped there back when we had one nearby, they would always ask who helped me so I assumed there was some sort of benefit of giving a name.
Idk apparently they get robbed pretty bad in my area. They have an entire system set up with the local dispatch so whenever something expensive is stolen the police are automatically alerted and sent the gps tracker coordinates.
Apparently the Ulta in my town has a direct line to 911 dispatch, like they don't even have to call they just press a button and then the cops hunt down whatever was stolen because anything over a certain amount has a gps tracker on it.
They're the only store with such a system in place.

This happened at Ulta a few weeks back. What the hell am I stealing in my tiny ass purse large enough to hold a phone and credit card?
