Was the original version a pedo? I know the...newer like 2016 version or whenever that was was but I don't recall the original version being a pedo. In fairness I haven't watched those movies in like 10 years so I might just be totally wrong.

I guess I know what I'm watching for the spooky season.

Same, I didn't even know there were other versions. I just knew of two.

The remake was 2010. There was a different pedophile all over the news in 2016 though so I see the confusion.

Original version did not, I'm pretty sure anyways. I think it was implied that the adults thought he did something bad, but maybe he was innocent and they killed him anyways and so he's big mad and goes after their kids in their dreams or whatever. I feel like the pedo thing was retconned into the new version and I don't like it
