Are the DMs stored in TikTok servers or within my iPhone storage/icloud? When signing it to another iPhone, some messages don’t appear, so it’s confusing me of what I should expect.

Hi! So today I ran into a problem, my fyp is not loading and I couldn't hear any sound on videos before the lag started, but now my fyp literally won't start. This isn't a Wi-Fi problem, I turned off and on my wifi, tried data, cleared cache, restarted my phone and switched accounts but it's still happening. I can still watch lives, look at comments and like videos so pretty much everything but actually watch videos.

Ive had this problem for a couple of days now and nothing seams to work at all. Not a single video wants to load which just makes the app unusable, I can only post videos or see slideshows.

So i was just doomscrolling tiktok and I came across a simple enough video. It was a lady learning English, ive seen her videos before and they've always been non-eventful.

It was normal for a second or so and then suddenly the screen split into 3rds (vertical). So the top third the video continued playing normally (although cut off so it was just her forehead), the middle third contained an animation. It was a black screen with rows of multicoloured dots spinning in a circle (kinda how you would imagine hypnosis) and the bottom third was a static photograph of what looked to be the side of an old stone building, looked british possibly even a church but not sure.

I thought it was someone uploading a weird video so I opened the comments and as the comments came up the video started playing normally again. No one in the comments was mentioning it. When i closed the comments it continued the weird stuff it was doing before.

I then thought maybe a weird glitch so I scrolled up and down multiple times, reopened the comments and closed them again but it was still doing it.

At this point I was weirded out so I called my husband over and showed him. He saw it for a few seconds and then it just disappeared. It was like it knew I was showing someone.

I know it sounds crazy and it probably was just some weird glitch but it felt like some subliminal hypnotising or something 😂

Has anyone else experienced this?

Why can't I message people?

ive tried clearing my cache, logging out & in again. what can i do? my phone and ipad have been broken for some time so im not too sure what to do now?

does anyone know why this keeps happening it only happens on certain videos the download button is available and you press it and the video always downloads to about 66% then it says “can’t download video” so then i try to download the video using a 3rd party website and then it downloads but when you open the download there’s only audio but no video and it just shows the apple quicktime logo. does anyone why why this is happening or is anyone else getting this problem??

I managed to actively stay off of TikTok for about seven years because I don’t like being on my phone as it is, and I didn’t want another app to distract me. I have caved as of yesterday, and I am actually excited to. Unfortunately, I literally cannot follow my friends. My friends are excited. They’re following me. It’s been about eight people, and I’ve only been able to successfully follow back half of them. I press follow, it changes to following, and then it changes to request to follow again, as if I never followed them in the first place. I know this is a minor issue, but it’s kind of a big deal to me. Is anyone experiencing this issue/has in the past?
I looked it up online and it said that an account can be flagged for suspicious activity of being a bot if they make an account and follow a bunch of people. However, I don’t think following five people qualifies for suspicious activity. I made a technical report problem to TikTok through the app, and I know this is so dumb guys, but it’s just a big deal to me that I’ve waited so long to download an app that acts like this.

I wanted to pay for promotion campaign, just to test out the engagement etc.

I paid, then got back to the promotions screen. So without checking, I did it again, just to find out I was already charged...

Kind of misleading or shitty UX design if you ask me, but it was my stupidity for not checking.

But this is not the problem.

The issue is that after TikTok taking my money, they never actually registered the campaigns.

They are not in pending, not in refused. Nothing. And I don't have the coins in my account.

I've reached out to support several times to ask if they can run the campaigns or give me a refund. It's been over 2 weeks. No response.

What an absolute joke of a platform...

I'm lucky that I tested with small amounts of money first, otherwise I'd be absolutely fuming.

So yeah I guess I'm never ever spending money on this shitty platform ever again.

If you are thinking of promoting your content, do not waste tour money here.
