Is it belivable these guys could beat anyone up ?

I mean muscles marinara sure I give you that.

Johnny Sac beats a guy unconscious and pisses on him. He is a nearly 60 year old man that smokes 3 packs a day. He would barf up a lung on the first swing.

Phil Lenoardo cracks Benny good but the guy is like 80 and had a heart attack.

Benny is like 4 foot 6 he is about as intimidating as a Cosette.

Christopher does arm curls that one time but aside from his massive beak he looks about as strong as Geroge Raft. He surely has no brains.

Feech. He was older than the electric light bulb and could barely move.

Bobby was a big guy but it was 93% fat. If he sat on you fine vut outside of that unless there was Karen's ziti around he couldn't even see his own shoe laces.

Patsy and his tall goofy friend? Lol they looked like door to door Bible salesmen.

Even Ralphie. He could barely beat up that guy and needed Jackie Jr.

Now I will give some credit. I did beleive Richie could take the Jackeet. Tony pre being shot seemed like he could go. Sean and Dino looked like they could brawl. Paulie I would not fuck with no matter how old of a man he is.

But then you see guys like Vtio Eugene Walden Butchie Doc or any of those other old middle aged fooks and you really gotta suspenders you beliefs that these guys were beating up people.

Serious Discussion Only Why am I obsessed? Can't stop watching.

I just saw the sopranos for the very first time. A few months ago. I immediately started watching again the day after I finished the last episode. Now I come to this thread every day to check out what people are talking about. And i'm considering watching it a third time even though I just finished it last week. I'm not sure why this is happening to me! I've never been obsessed with a show before. Any one else feel this way?

In ‘Everybody Hurts’ Tony charges Artie twice the vig he initially promises on the $50k loan

“I’ll charge you a point and a half, and believe me I know that’s a lot fuckin better than Ralph Cifaretto would do!”

“Well it’s 51.5, vig-wise, Artie, and technically ya already missed a payment”

The balls on this prick!

Is it just me or are the feds in The sopranos nasty.

I'm mainly looking at Ade's handler the 2nd one. I'm just thinking abt Ade's dilemma before she died. But as soon as Matush gets involved it's over for her and the agents know it. They don't need to keep her happy or appease her somewhat. Now they lean hard on her and it makes her sick. God I miss Adrianna and I blame mostly the feds for her death. Those cold heartless pricks. 😒

Anyways I guess sometimes it's usual to rage abt law enforcement in crime drama shows when it's literally their job to nip crime in the bud but ooh whatever. I just can't stand any fed agent in the show. Maybe except whats his name with the parasite from Afghanistan or wherever the fuck

Artie Could Have Been Very Lucky If He Had Borrowed Money From Ralphie

Assuming Ralphie gave him the money, Artie keeps his mouth shut, pays the vig every week, doesn’t try to get cute, and just survives a few months.

Then Tony kills Ralphie.

Debt problem solved.

We actually see basically this exact loophole later when Terry Doria borrows $20,000 from Vito. Vito gets killed, Terry hears the news, and suddenly that loan has become the best investment Terry ever made..

“Dont go, Daddy!”

On my…..maybe dozenth and a half rewatch, it’s been quite a few years actually.

Loving journeying into this world all over again. Get the episode Mayham as Kevin Finnerty is showing up at the reunion and……god damnit that scene and the little girls voice coming out of the woods gets me just as hard in the emotions as it ever has.

One of the greatest shows ever, and one of the most powerfully constructed scenes. Just floored me all over again.

Why was Richie always complaining about earning?

He come home and is captain of the Aprile crew which later in the series is revealed to be one of the most profitable crews in the family because of their construction business and control of unions.

As captain Richie wouldn't need to sell coke with Junior to pay his nut. Or focusing on his garbage routes would make no sense.

Maybe it's another continuity error in the show where the writers didn't yet know the direction they'd take with all the crews. Or maybe it was to show Richie was too stuck in the past with his earning methods(shy locking, muscling beansie) and not a solid earner to begin with.

When Tony curb stomped Coco

He should have also picked up Butchie by the collar and placed him on a wall coat hook. Googly-eyed midget would still be dangling there, begging someone to let him down. The fuckin’ prick.

Serious Discussion Only That animal…

Serious question, and feel free to shitpost around the serious answer, but if we’re off the record here?

Off the record, we know there are some folks who didn’t like Buscemi as Tony B. I like Buscemi, in general, so I don’t have a problem with it, but if you could re-cast the part, what actor (besides Buscemi) would you cast as Tony B?

Danny Baldwin and Ben Kingsley don’t count cus Danny’s still gotta show up for Cleaver to take Ben Kingsley to acting school.

I’m looking for the specific version of Fur Elise that is fat doms ringtone. It plays when he’s taken out by Sil and Carlo.

edie falco is genuinely so brilliant as carmela

her performance throughout is just phenomenal. im rewatching for the first time (after 11 years, so basically watching for the first time again lol lucky me.) and am realising properly just how great she is, her face acting (if that’s a thing lol im stoned) is amazing too. specifically the episode whitecaps s4e13 where she kicks tony out. it was actually insanely uncomfortable to watch because of how amazing she performed those scenes, felt like i could feel everything she was feeling in a way??

Vito/Richie

Good evening,

In the episode where Sil and Paulie tell Richie to build Beansie a ramp, Sil tells Richie to get his nephew (Vito) to do it. Later we see Vito at Beansies gaff.

How come family link is never mentioned again, does he not wonder where his uncle dissapeared to.

Anyway, $4 a pound

Episode Discussion What is the joke to Paulies punchline "Use Ya Hatt!!"

In a couple of episodes across the entire series a scene cuts to Paulie Walnut finishing a joke off with the punchline "Use Ya Hatt!!".

I've always wondered what the joke was?

Episode Discussion How did he get the guts to do this ? Spoiler

I mean, how did he have the guts to swear at Tony? And I think he probably knows what business Tony is in. Is'nt he scared of what might happen to him.

How would you title each season?

1 to 6B, a title that gives a sense of the theme, arcs, mood etc?

I live in Ramlösa (Sweden) AMA

Ramlösa is a real place in Sweden and it’s home to the sparkling water Tony steals and that warm and convivial animal of a host serves at Vesuvio.

I actually live here. 40 fuckin’ years. Not a peep.
So I figured some of you and your hooahs might get a kick out of that.

Anyway, $4 a bottle.

Serious Discussion Only Could AJ have been a success story if...

Did AJ have any chance of turning out normal or was he doomed by circumstance? When you look at Jackie Jr, Little Ricky, and whatever Carlo's kids name was they're all kind of idiots. AJ had everything handed to him and could've achieved many things but seems destined to mediocrity. Was there any hope for him or was it the result of his poor attitude and parenting?

Looking for an example of intimidation in The Sopranos

I’m in a discussion with a friend, who has used an extended metaphor involving a restaurant or other small business.

I’m looking for an example from The Sopranos (he’s a fan) in which the hang around some business and tell customers it’s not good, and that they should go somewhere else.

They didn’t really do that with Artie’s or the sporting goods store, but I feel like they did do something like that.

Any suggestions are appreciated

Mustang Sally’s Gf

Is she the same character that Adriana sold out to the feds for flirting with Chrissy? Looks like the same actress but not sure if it’s the same situation as the Vito actor

What do you think Paulie got?

Background: S6 E21, Paulie watches Tony walk away, and there are so many emotions on his face: pity, sadness, anger. It's a moment of great acting.

So if Paulie knows Tony is a dead man walking, and if Paulie helped Butchie get the hit set up, what do you think Paulie gets? A big lump of cash? A promise he gets to stay alive? A reconstituted crew with him and Patsy?

Melfi saying Booty

What is a part in Sopranos that seems to irrationally activate your cring/disgust trigger. For me its the way Melfi says the word Booty (referring to Pu$$y). Just the way she pronounces it pissd me off
