$4.5M injected to make this the ultimate social trading app

Today we’re announcing the $4.5M Seed Round for AfterHour. As many of you know, AfterHour is a social app I built after my crazy $35k -> $8M journey in under 2 years. I realized quality, community-driven DD was something that became increasingly difficult to find. This app solves that need by giving retail traders an edge in the stock market through top-tier community features.

I know there’s many of you that might feel triggered when I promote the app - just know that I truly am trying to build something valuable by traders for traders. Everywhere I look there are fake screenshots, scams, and bots pushing people into paid communities. It’s not the trading world I came from, and it’s not where I’d like to see it continue to move towards.

Plenty of traders call out plays, but how many actually take those themselves? Our users put their money where their mouth is by proving their live position in any callout they make. With over $200M+ in connected brokerages, I have no doubt we can build this into something really disruptive for the industry.

Here’s the Fortune article: https://fortune.com/2024/06/17/exclusive-after-hour-social-trading-startup-raises-4-5-million-seed-round-led-by-founders-fund-and-general-catalyst

And blog post: https://www.afterhour.com/blog/afterhour-raises-4-5-million-to-build-the-ultimate-financial-community-platform-for-the-internet-generation

Check out the app, we're 100% free on iOS and Android - my DMs are always open to feedback https://afterhour.app.link/race

General AI infra/ semi selloff is setting up for a massive buy the dip opportunity

My take is that we’re getting close to peak pessimism around the AI trade again. Inflation, rates, valuations, debt, whether the spending will ever pay off. There are real concerns here but the market is starting to sound convinced that everything goes wrong at once. What interests me is whether that selling is creating an opportunity in companies whose earnings can still justify the investment, and I believe it is.

I’m bullish heading into the next round of tech earnings because I think the numbers could tell a much stronger story than sentiment currently suggests. If cloud growth holds up, infrastructure spending stays firm and guidance remains strong, there’s room for a pretty sharp reversal.

Names like MU, SNDK, NVDA, NBIS and BE are on my radar. And even with the easy money from buying anything with “AI” attached to it behind us, I think there’s still serious upside in picking the businesses that keep delivering while expectations come down.

So sorry Burry, take your profits now because another rally is about to start!

Housing stocks are the AI sell-off's winners as bond yields sink (FYI Only, Not recommendations)

As previously said, long term treasury, housing stocks and consumer staples seem to be a pretty good diversification and even good hedge against semiconductor/AI sell off. And most of them have great yields. To be clear, I am not suggesting all-in in those conservative stocks and I am always a semi/AI centric investor. Just FYI.

Why CELH is down 57% while MNST is up 29%

From Oct 15 2025 - Oct 14 2026:

  • CELH: $63.10 → $27.17 (-56.94%)
  • MNST: $34.33 → $44.22 (+28.83%)

Crazy, Celsius has lost over half its value while Monster is up almost 30%. I wanted to figure out whether Celsius was becoming an interesting turnaround opportunity at these levels or whether the market was correctly pricing in deteriorating fundamentals so that's what this post is about.

1. Celsius' headline revenue growth analysis:

Celsius reported a Q2 2026 revenue of $817M, up from $739M a year earlier wich = 10.6% growth which tbh is pretty respectable considering the stock's performance. The thing is tho, Celsius Holdings isn't just the Celsius energy drink, it's a, believe it or not, holding of multiple different brands including Alani Nu which I've never heard of in my entire life, and Rockstar energy.

Anyway I looked through the company's 10Q to see where that additional revenue was actually coming from, here's the breakdown:

Celsius brand:

  • Q2 2025: $438.1M
  • Q2 2026: $387.0M
  • Change: -11.7%

Alani Nu:

  • Q2 2025: $301.2M
  • Q2 2026: $364.4M
  • Change: +21.0%

Rockstar:

  • Q2 2026: $66.5M
  • Not included in the prior-year consolidated quarter because Celsius hadn't acquired it yet.

Alani actually kinda carries, but the notable thing is the company added 78 mil in revenue, and 66 mil of that is from the recent Rockstar acquisition which is roughly 85% of that revenue increase. A painful number to read if you're a shareholder ngl.

Now obviously, acquiring another company is still a legitimate way to grow. But I'm trying to figure out whether the underlying business is getting stronger so it's important to separate acquisition growth from what the existing brands are doing.

2. The number that caught my attention was 1.7%

Celsius includes an unaudited pro forma revenue table in its 10Q. Essentially, it shows what the historical financials would have looked like if both the Alani Nu and Rockstar acquisitions had been completed on January 1st 2024.

For Q2:

  • 2025 pro forma revenue: $804M
  • 2026 revenue: $817.9M

Which is approximately 1.7% growth. 1.7 :( Compare that with the reported 10.6%... Using the same filing's six month figures, you can get the acquisition adjusted first quarter comparison.

That gives us:

Q1 2026 pro forma revenue growth: +25.1%

Q2 2026 pro forma revenue growth: +1.7% (different 1.7)

To be clear, this is NOT an official organic growth metric. These are unaudited pro forma figures based on assumptions, but it's an important analysis to do all the same and it's def not a bullish one.

3. The profitability picture isn't great either

Have a look at the income statement

  • Gross margin fell from 51.5% to 48.1%.
  • Operating income fell from $143.0M to $75.3M.
  • Net income fell from $99.9M to $55.3M.
  • Diluted EPS fell from $0.33 to $0.14.

Which sucks, like these numbers are terrible. There is a saving grace tho, Celsius recorded 80.9 mil in distributor termination fees related primarily to transitioning former Alani Nu distributors which is a significant expense affecting GAAP operating income, and it's not necessarily representative of the company's long term earning power, so I wouldn't look at the 45% decline in GAAP net income and blindly assume the business deteriorated by the same amount. But even after adjusting for those costs, performance was mixed.

  • Adjusted EBITDA fell from $210.3M to $184.2M, a decline of approximately 12%.
  • Adjusted EBITDA margin fell from 28.4% to 22.5%.

Which sucks without the saving grace. The company is significantly larger than it was a year ago, but it's currently generating lower adjusted EBITDA than in the comparable quarter.

One more thing I noticed in the income statement:

Celsius reported $55.3M in total net income, but only $36.4M was attributable to common stockholders after preferred dividends and allocations to participating securities. The preferred equity structure matters quite a bit when you're trying to value CELH common shares, it's a reason to not just compare headline net income against market capitalization and call the stock cheap.

4. Compare that with Monster

Monster's Q2 2026 results look quite different.

  • Revenue: $2.54B (+20.2%)
  • Currency-adjusted revenue growth: 17.9%
  • Gross margin: 55.9%
  • Net income: $584.5M (+19.6%)
  • Operating income: $740.4M (+17.2%)

Monster's growth is signigicantly better than Celsius' acquisition adjusted Q2 comparison, and it's doing that while maintaining much higher margins (nearly 8% higher than Celsius) Monster also has considerable international exposure. Sales outside the US grew 34.6% in Q2 and represented approximately 46% of total quarterly revenue. So Monster isn't relying entirely on the US market, which Celsius is to a much larger effect.

So in summary, it's pretty clear why MNST is gapping the shit out CELH, it's producing stronger growth, higher margins and consistent profitability.

But I'm not quite ready to write off Celsius.

5. A hope in the consumer sales data

Remember how the original Celsius brand reported an 11.7% revenue decline? Well the companies measured US retail sales data showed that Celsius brand sales declined only 2% over the corresponding 13 week period. Reported revenue reflects shipments to customers, inventory timing, promotional activity and distributor economics. Retail sales more directly reflect what consumers are purchasing in the measured retail channels. Management specifically attributed the weakness in recognized revenue to factors including inventory rebalancing, increased promotional investment, fewer SKUs and decline from clubs. This suggests part of the problem could be operational rather than a complete collapse in consumer demand.

Conclusion:

CELH is chilling with a market capitalization of approximately $6.9B, compared with roughly $86.6B for MNST, so it's more of a gamble by default and lacks the same budget for marketing.

Here's my thoughts, if Celsius can stabilize its flagship brand, sustain strong Alani growth AND recover margins, there could be meaningful upside from these levels.

After going through the financials, I think Monster is obviously the stronger operating business today, I mean its revenue growth, margins and profitability are all significantly better.

But CELH is prob worth an add to the watchlist given how much it has fallen.

Essentially, the original Celsius brand is struggling, Rockstar needs work, and the pro forma numbers show that underlying portfolio growth isn't nearly as strong as headlines suggest. At the same time, Alani is growing nicely, retail demand for Celsius appears more resilient than reported revenue implies, and management is still working through a major distribution transition, shout out pepsi.

I'm leaning toward waiting for another quarter before making a decision on Celsius, I know a whole lot of words to say wait and see. But, the thing I want to know is whether Q2 was the worst part of the transition or the beginning of a more persistent slowdown, and if it's the former this could be a pretty decent recovery bet, GenZ + Alpha love their energy drinks and energy drinks as a whole have a CAGR of 8.1% through 2033 so long term I'm bullish.

Anyway, curious what everyone thinks

NFA, DYOR.

DELL gets hammered after analyst downgrade. Watching these levels.

DELL took a beating Wednesday and Thursday as Wall Street raised concerns about what's really driving its AI hardware growth.

Pretty ugly selloff, especially considering how strong the stock had been. I'm curious whether buyers step back in here or if there's still more selling ahead.

The $472–$474 area stands out to me. How price reacts there could tell us quite a bit about the next move.

I went through the analyst concerns and mapped out the support and resistance levels in more detail:
