Last post was a little light on info, so let’s try again. I’ve been after one of these things to compliment my other sub-caliber “Lugers” for awhile now.

A local guy posted this for $200 because it wouldn’t fire, he said he’d messed with it for years, mostly with the safety.

I quickly realized that the sear/sear actuator bar fit was poor, bent it a bit, and it dry fires reliably now. We’ll see how it runs at the range in a few days.

Pretty cool to have the original box too.

Messed up. Installing P32 belt clip, racked the slide while frame pin/assembly was removed, now pin hole is blocked by internals and can’t figure out how to decompress main spring to insert pin. Any help appreciated NSFW

Worth it or not? NSFW

My 3032 Tomcat basically crumbled in my hands, broke in multiple places and nobody can figure out what happened. Sent the paperweight back to Beretta and their only course of action is to replace it with a new one. Great! Except it’s out of warranty so my only option is to buy it at cost. Now I’m trying to figure out if it’s worth the trouble.

Buying a new one at cost, they’re offering $330, plus tax and shipping, $383. Plus the $85 I had to spend to have an FFL ship it out, plus the new purchase FFL fees, I’m looking at just over $500 for a brand new Tomcat.

I know that’s still less than buying a new one at a store, I’m just not sure if it’s even worth replacing. It’s a lovely little gun, always been one of my favorites. But I have plenty of other carry-baby-guns that serve the same purpose, and do it better than the tomcat.

It’s my only 32. 32 is expensive. (My other carries are 380 and 9.) It might be time for me to move on from 32. I figured this would be the group to poll for advice.

What would you do? Spring for the “at cost” replacement? Wait until there is a comparable sale? Find another used one? Move on completely?

Of course if they’re planning on adding the 30X to the California roster, that would be worth waiting for.

ideal alternating carries and perhaps dual light and deep concealment. I would like an optic, but I don’t see it being a real benefit and most scenarios so idk

After a Spectre rewatch, I was compelled to throw this little homage together!

Despite the popular band wagon of hate this film receives, I rather enjoy it, and it holds a special in my heart for many reasons that I will not get into here.

Featured is my wedding band with an engraved SPECTRE octopus and Walther PPK SD, all atop a chessboard top play against Mr. White or Kronsteen.

I am aware it’s steel cored as well. Any help appreciated

Do you see 32 ever replacing certain calibers as a happy medium for carry/practice? NSFW

With the rise in popularity of the caliber, at least in my view, I always wonder if it'll ever replace rim fire cartridges or even. 380 carry guns.

32 acp can get expensive but it seems to me it should be a more relevant round that falls somewhere between target ammo and carry ammo. My hope is that it becomes more relevant so we start paying 22 prices. However, as we know, there aren't too many manufacturers releasing guns in 32 acp.

What stops Smith and Wesson from making a bodyguard in 32 acp? Or Keltec from making a double stack p32? Or Walther from releasing a new polymer PPK?

As the years go on it feels the caliber is getting more traction for those that want something easy shooting in a small package. My personal reason for carrying 32 acp is I don't want to be a hero, I simply want to make it home alive. Alive and with my hearing intact (I've already suffered some hearing loss from 9mm going off indoors near me). Something simple and easy to operate, that will reliably go bang when I tell it to. The gap between 380 and 9mm seems closer to me than the gap between 32 and 380. 32 seems to do everything 22 can, but more reliably.

Thunder 32 NSFW

Took the Bersa to the range today. I bought it when I got a pinched nerve in my shoulder and couldn’t handle recoil. I haven’t shot it since my shoulder healed. I forgot how sweet it is to shoot. The trigger is smooth, the accuracy is good (was shooting at about 12 yards). Plus it just feels great to shoot.

Mine has an issue with the safety. I’d get it fixed if this was a carry gun. But given the size and weight, I have better carry options. Still, I love shooting this gun.

I like this guy's videos about bullet ballistics, basic chrono and gel block tests. Bonus: this guy uses really clear gel blocks with nice camera work. It's nice to see a video that combines TOTC and TheLowly32Long info.

CZ75D Compact in 32ACP NSFW

I recently got a Beretta 80X in 32ACP, and I am now a huge fan of this caliber. I love the 80X and 32ACP, it's just so much fun to shoot.

In my search, I saw that CZ started to make a CZ75D Compact in 32ACP, but it never left the prototype stage

https://www.czfirearms.com/en-us/news/cz-75-d-compact-cz-75-enters-21st-century

Does anyone think it's possible to convert a Compact to 32ACP?

$329.99, Beretta also offers a $100 prepaid card rebate through the end of the year for all tomcat/bobcat models, so really it's $229.99!

New TOTC Range Report NSFW

Picked up a Llama X-A in TOTC and had it to the range yesterday. It's like a baby 1911. It feels really good in my small/med hands; slender, almost like a 1903. Being all steel, it's a joy to shoot in .32 - no real recoil. I was shooting surplus S&B from RTI. I didn't find it to be particularly accurate. As a right-hander I tend to be low and left when not focusing, but this shot a little high at 7 yards. Also, first gun I've ever shot that gave me hammer bite. Regardless, I enjoyed shooting it and love the way it feels. New wood grips on the way; the factory ones are both cracked at the top. I may send it out for cerakote; I like this: https://www.instagram.com/p/DYnaOSTEWl_/?img_index=1

Pick this up early in the year but just finished cleaning it up and thought I would share. I was lucky enough to walk into a gun shop while traveling (In State) and found it sitting in the case. A bit ammo picky but ran great on Fiocchi Range Dynamics ammo (FMJ).
