AEW Related How’s Christopher Jericho Looking in 2026?!? 🤔🤔

I wanna know what Jericho's spine looks like in an MRI. Hes been taking bumps for 40? years.

He takes a lot of breaks away from the ring, his style is also quite safe with the odd flirtation with more hardcore wrestling. I imagine compared to other wrestler of a similar vintage that he is in pretty good condition.

The average person has bulging discs, is what I mean. Like Joe Shmoe with a desk job probably has 1 or 2 slight bulges he never feels. Jericho probably has 10.

Jericho has been doing this for an age and he still is presentable and can perform. People ragging on him all the time are just vindictive. The guy has got older he isnt going to look like an Adonis yet he still looks better than most

Agreed. Jericho is awesome. He’s in great shape and is still a stellar athlete. He works with young guys and gives them the rub. I just watched WrestleDream ‘23 and the semi main where he tags with Omega and Ibushi against Takeshita, Ospreay, and Guevara is one of the best 6 mans I’ve ever seen. Totally stole the show IMO

He was in awful shape not too long ago, and that's where the ragging on him came from. He has really revived his career since then.

Jericho never stopped being good. "Fans" are just fickle fucks who like to complain.

When is everyone else going to realise that Jericho is genuinely up there with the greatest of all time?

I realized it in the 2000’s watching him as a kid.

u/Paynekiller997 11h ago
Same, he’s been my favourite wrestler since the late Attitude/early Ruthless Aggression era.

Him vs HBK at mania was great! 😩
I always show that match to my friends who aren’t into wrestling to try and get them into wrestling.

Not Lionheart days but he can still move. But do not go Ric Flair, hope he has started his plans to hang them up. Leave while you still can do it rather than still be there looking like a cripple.

He’s in his 50s? He’s got his diet in check, and seems like he’s motivated. Honestly I’m happy he’s still doing what he’s doing

The same fans who hate on him were begging for him to show up on Raw I remember

For like, one retirement match

No they wanted a run let’s not change history

There's no way WWE fans who already complain about old guys taking up top spots and TV time wanted to watch Chris Jericho lowlights for more than 3 matches tops
1
u/Longwinded_Ogre 8h ago
There absolutely is. I can want to see younger acts get featured, pushed and given opportunities while at the same time wanting to see one of the most consistently great performers of my lifetime return for a significant nostalgia run. That's... not a contradiction or a problem.
Further more, most people who want to complain about the general age don't want the older guys fired, we want them used (in part) to help elevate younger talent. With the exception of Baron Corbin, I do in fact want him fired.

Honestly weight is a downpoint for a lot of wrestlers in their later stages, if they can keep the weight down, they will feel nimbler and some spots will hurt less, they will hurt, but not as much. This Jericho looks better than other years.

He's still out there performing and enjoying it and I'm going to be happy watching him until he decides to hang them boots up

I personally think he would look better with shorter hair and without those tattoos.
Looking pretty good compared to what he looked like a year ago!

How many times in the match did he do that one combination? If he legit did three clotheslines followed by a frankensteiner, that is wild.

I'll always love Jericho for his character work, even today but he is an example of a wrestler who refuses to really change his style as he ages.
Notice how someone like Punk at 47 doesn't try any springboard shit anymore and outside of his signatures like the high knee in the turnbuckle, diving elbow and a top rope Frankensteiner here and there has almost changed his style entirely. Its funny, because 75% of his ROH moveset would fit his style now perfectly.
Jericho at 54 or however old he is now, can barely Lionsault. It's time for him to reconsider his style to a purely grounded technical one.

That hurricanrana looked looked super smooth. Not even sure he could hit that as smooth in his prime. Crazy the stuff older guys are pulling off these days.

Dude is exactly my age. I feel great but I'm definitely not as cardiovascularly fit as him. Bro has still got it.

u/DoktahDoktah 10h ago
Those aren't replays BTW they did that move 4 times in the match. (I might be lying but you believed me for a second.)

u/NappyFlickz 9h ago
If he adapted Taker's/older big men's cheat code of the illusion of speed by taking two/three big strides across the ring when running the ropes, he'd genuinely be able to mask 99% of his age in the ring.
He already hides 90% lol

I (as most of you) can definitely be in better shape.
We are years of hard work away from the condition Jericho is in.
Also, how much of a testament to him that he never sustained a major injury?

u/Puzzled_Talk8399 5h ago
He's never faltered, like Rey. And he did a lot for aew. Go back to his match with Bandido b4 he took the break, he's topn5 doa and better than most in fans top 5

u/unimportantinfodump 3h ago
Honestly that's one of the safest versions of that move I've seen in a long time and it actually looked like he threw him instead of a backflip and a dude just jumping
1
u/Cult_of_Zombie 3h ago
Jericho may actually being trying these days instead of just collecting a check.

u/BrokeRda 2h ago
The fact that you called him Christopher Jericho instead of Chris Jericho, I had to watch the video like three times to make sure it was who I thought it was🤣

u/Individual_Mix_271 1d ago
He’s looking good
He ain’t Rey Mysterio though
4
u/cornspice 1d ago
He was never trying to be
1
u/Individual_Mix_271 20h ago
No I know I was kidding
Just thought about that with him incorporating that hurricanrana type move from the top turnbuckle
1
u/Lunar_IX 20h ago
But he's not Rey Mysterio. You understand that, right? That he's not Rey? Because he's not. HE'S NOT!

u/VinceMcMahon- 16h ago
Another one that doesn't know when to call it quits.
It sucks HBK retired when he did because he easily had couple years left in him
