We have this leak in our dorm room; every night, a puddle of water appears between our beds and along the wall. We called maintenance to get it checked out, and they said it's probably AC sweat. My roommate made a joke about Gody the ghost, and she said there's a rumor about a ghost living here on the 4th floor. Haha, I don't believe in ghosts, but I am interested in where this rumor emerged from. For all I know its actually Gordy the ghost pissing on our floors.

I’m an international student admitted to Texas Tech University as a freshman for Spring with a $6,500/year Presidential Scholarship, majoring in CS. My visa interview is next month, and I’m really stressed because my family cannot afford the full cost. I’ve contacted several university offices for additional aid, but they’ve declined. I also checked ScholarshipUniverse, but none of the scholarships match my eligibility. Most are for current students, and I couldn’t find anything relevant for incoming CS freshmen or the Edward E. Whitacre Jr. College of Engineering. Even an additional $2,000 to $3,000 per year would make a huge difference. I really love TTU and don’t want to give up this opportunity due to financial constraints. If anyone knows of additional funding opportunities or can connect me with someone who might help, I’d be truly grateful.

I recently got admitted to the data science masters program in the rawls business school. It only took a week to get my acceptance email which was surprising. I’m joining the spring cohort and was wondering if there are any graduates or current students that have any thoughts about this program.
Why’d you choose this program over other schools such as Georgia tech or Ut Austin?
What are the job prospects like during and after?
How rigorous is the program?

Say I wanted to be a bouncer at skeets who would I contact? I am giving up my lease to a 2 bed, 2 bath apartment.
The Apartments are "The Bends at Bentwood" off of the Loop. You will already have a roomate, the rent is $250-$350 per person a month until January. In January it goes up to $600 a month per person. I am looking to move out, if anyone is interested and wants more information please let me know!

My son (current junior in high school) and I arrive in Lubbock tomorrow for his 1st college visit. We're attending the Tech Preview/Open House on Monday, but I'm wondering if there is anything we can do tomorrow (we get in around 4:30) to really give him an idea of the town/campus culture and environment? He has never looked at colleges before so he doesn't understand the differences in big v small school or the way the town plays into the college experience...all conversations we'll be tackling while on this trip. He is interested in the aerospace engineering program so if there are any engineering activities at all happening, I'd love to take him! Thanks for any ideas! Hi everyone! I am citizen but educated in Mexico. I want to apply to civil engineering and I would like to know what my chances are.
My GPA isn’t too great, it is about 89/100 (I studied in Mexico, my hs doesn´t offer AP,IB, Honors, nothing) and my SAT score is 1270 (660 math,610 ebrw). I have some decent extracurriculars most focused on community service, work and an award for my 11th grade gpa. Thank you. I also already applied to Monterrey Tech If anyone know it and hopefully i will be admitted but I want to study in U.S.

I would like anyone's recommendations on the 3 courses for planning for the spring semester. I took IB Math Applications SL in high school and found the content not to hard, but didn't study for the test and barely missed earning the credit. I don't necessarily just want to take whatever's easiest(1300 from what I've heard) if it's just going to be a repeat and waste of time, but I also don't want to do too much unnecessary work.

I'm a global studies major fyi and planning on just doing CLEP for my other math credit.

And I got a 650 on my SAT math if that matters.

Howdy Raiders! Me and a big group of fellow classmates at Texas A&M are starting a silly go kart competition (examples of silly go karts are found above). We want there to be an internal go kart league for each university, and the top 3 teams go on to compete in a multi school competition! We are planning for the competition to be chaotic, low budget, safe, and most importantly we want the barrier of entry for each team to be as low as possible. (e.g. anybody within the university can get a minimum of 5 people together and create a racing team from freshmen to seniors)

We are looking for founders interested in starting a club at Texas Tech to coordinate a club that will host their internal teams and league.
