I have some pretty cool ones. Last ever game at Arlington Stadium. First game at the ballpark. Kenny Rogers perfect game.

I have a ticket with the stub still attached from Kenny Rogers’s perfect game. Went with my dad and my mom was pregnant and stayed home.

My favorite obscure one I still have is from an 18 inning game in 2004. Soriano hit a walkoff home run saving me from having a heat stroke. It was a day game in June haha.

Attended the 9/30/84 perfect game of Mike Witt (Angels) beating the Rangers. I had a complete untorn ticket with me for some reason, and I got the pitcher of the game Charlie Hough to autograph my ticket. He was leaning against his car in the players' parking lot, saying he'd sign for everyone because he had no place to be before his flight to Hawaii the next morning. He was one of my favorite Rangers ever.

That is very cool. I bet Charlie was ripping cigs the whole time too. He always seemed like a very chill guy. I miss the old days when the players were so approachable. I’d go in the 80s with my glove or a ball and easily get 10 or so autographs pregame.

I have this crazy quest where I’m trying to find ticket stubs to all of Carlton Fisk’s career games. As you can see from this list, Rangers have always been tough for me to cross off the list.

I still have my 2010 World Series Game 3 ticket somewhere in my house.

I was a little disappointed when MLB stopped printing tickets. I’ve got a lot of old tickets but can’t continue that tradition

Agreed. Not possible to have collections of tickets for current players or teams.

How so? Is anyone issuing physical tickets that you know of?

The Rangers offer physical tickets at the memorabilia stand outside of the main gift shop.

I still have my stub from Nolan Ryan's 5000th strikeout. Maybe a couple of others, but that one I will hang on to.

I have mine too!

That’s a great ticket — definitely hang on to those.

I have season ticket books for about 12 years. Also have World Series books from 2010 & 2011

I do have some of mine from the 70’s.

Neat. Would you consider looking to see if you have any Vs the Red Sox that are still on my wantlist? I’ve been looking for over 25 years for these remaining dates.

I’m not sure where they are.

Please keep my info if you run across them.

Are you spamming every team with this?

1

u/Dr_Zoidberg003 10d ago

Yes they are lol

2

u/Maverickphreak42 10d ago

Of course the Home WS tickets too

u/Hefty_Dik 9d ago

Yes but I can’t find the damn book they were in 😢

They do get misplaced quite often! But it’s amazing the percentage of stubs that still survive decades later!

Because I was a baseball card collector, I saved every sports and concert stub I've had since HS. So I have been really pissed that most tickets it seems are just a QR scan on your phone or a print out. No one uses physical tickets anymore.

I still have every one from every MLB game I've been to. I've also started entering them into the Ballpark app - it has a history section and you can see all the games and stadiums you've been to.

Saved almost all of mine. But here are my favorites:

Nolan’s 5K. And his 5th no hitter.

I have a set of 5 complete tickets to the last game at the OG stadium. Not sure they’re worth much, but I still hung on to them.

Mine got lost moving it was devastating

So sad. Same thing has happened to some many of these precious scraps of cardboard over the years!

Saved all my ticket stubs for everything. I miss tickets.
