Fan Game Info Hi Everyone, Myriad Demo has gotten a significant update in preparation for Steam Next Fest
I am very excited for the support Myriad has gotten so far, and I am hopeful to keep working on it even past its full release. Myriad is a Tetris-inspired and Balatro fashioned game that I was really motivated to start working on some time last year.
The demo even has steam achievements now, though only some, the full release will surely have a lot more!
Let me know if this floats your boat or not haha!

Events Anyone following TWS (Tetrio World Series)?
Which countries are the powerhouse in this tournament? Which is the favorite? What are the rosters for each team? I think America, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philipines are all quite good. Btw the TWS discord link is dead :(

Questions / Tetris Help I made a Tetris style game.
Hey everyone, my name is Zach, and I built a Tetris-style game called polyx2d.
The main idea behind the game is to eventually have an online 1v1 skill-based matchmaking system, similar to Chess.com or other competitive 1v1 games. Pretty simple concept, but I think it could be really fun.
Right now, you can play against your friends through an iCloud link, but I don’t have a big enough player base yet to make online matchmaking work.
As of writing this, only 33 people have downloaded the game lol, so it would genuinely mean a lot if you guys gave it a shot.
I think it’s a pretty cool game, and I’d love to hear what people think. If you hate it, uninstall it. If you like it, tell your friends. Honestly just tryna see if people like it or not.

Records / Accomplishments

Records / Accomplishments my tetris tower-defense game: stack factory
Hey, thank you to all the ppl on here who gave feedback to my game a few months back. It was honestly really appreciated and gave me a bit of a lift up to make something cool. There's a demo of it out now.
but what would really make it shine was if it was multiplayer. To me it has a fast paced micromovement and decision making elements that I want to see pushed in a competitive way.
STACK FACTORY is basically tetris, tower-defense. The Single player game see's the player attempt to win a run in multiple ways while also defending against the waves of Zera attacking from above: Time trial, Reaching a certain height, Survivor for instance to name a few.
What would a multiplayer look like? I wonder if there is anybody out there interested in the idea of a tetris, tower defense multiplayer (it's quite niche!). I remember it was discussed briefly in the original posts.
Anyway, the demo is on Steam now and we of course have a discord, but yeah honestly, thanks for attention.

Questions / Tetris Help Does anybody know where I can find a Tetris Dekaris arcade cabinet in Tokyo?
Tetris Dekaris is a Japan exclusive arcade cabinet. I was hoping there would be somewhere in Tokyo that would have it. Does anybody know for certain?

Questions / Tetris Help How to learn/get better at Tetris classic
Hello I recently started playing Tetris classic (about a week ago) and I want to improve. I saw a video of Jonas saying how learning bad habits can lead to even worse playing down the line. I tried to see tutorials but most of them are too advanced for me as they focus on DAS or hyper taping mechanics and things like that compared to how to properly align pieces, when to burn lines vs misplacing a piece, how to think ahead, etc. is there any good resource for a TRUE new Tetris player? I’m playing on level 7 and I for this post I did 5 games (completely random) and my scores were 8k, 3k, 68k, 20k and 48k is that good or should I drop a level or what? Thanks!

Discussions / Opinion 22 games into my tetra league career and I'm likely already in the bottom 75
I'll probably be banned for sandbagging if I keep playing on this account. My most recent game was a lucky win, though. I just don't know how this happened, honestly. There's nobody else this low anyway so I keep getting matched with D+ and C- players and losing. My games should be on my tetra channel page, so go check that out if you want to see just how horrible I am. I'm probably beyond saving, though. I feel like people are so busy trying to get more TR that they don't realise just how much they already have. They don't know how far up they already are because they keep looking at the skill ceiling and never the skill floor. The skill floors in competitive games rarely get discussed. I fell left out of all the competitive tetris discussions because i'm standing right there. On the floor. Maybe that's why pros in competitive games sometimes massively overestimate the skills of average players...

Questions / Tetris Help Speed Training?
How do you guys speed train for Tetris? I’ve recently been getting back into it after a while and I can’t seem to break 1.1 PPS no matter how hard I try. What do you guys do to get faster? Thanks!
Edit to mention that the main problem is my fingers aren’t moving as fast as I’d like them to. I’m fairly decent at seeing the solves it’s just putting the blocks down fast enough that’s the issue

Questions / Tetris Help How do I learn Tetris competitively?
I want to get better at Tetris. As I understand it this game has a competitive community, and I figured that community would have knowledge that would help me better understanding the game's mechanics, patterns, tech, terminology, etc. and perhaps learn about its competitive history, scene and formats. Are there any resources, videos or video series, etc. that anyone can suggest or forward? Thank you.
