The title says it all. I know the developers monitor this sub, so I just wanted to say thank you for all the hard work and that I hope you continue.

Tavern Keeper is one I come back to on those days when the real world feels a little too big and much too complicated. I enjoy that it presents problems to solve without being overwhelming or stressful, and that the tasks don't feel like chores. I am also charmed at the world it creates, with this tinge of fantasy-esque storytelling happening around you. I have been waiting for a long time for new material to bring this world to life and offer more depth, and the new update does just that.

tavernkeeper.wiki.gg was created (by Greenheart staff, I assume) in September 2024, over a year before the game even went into Early Access. But until now it consisted of just the descriptions of the first three world regions and a handful of basically empty stub pages. I spent the last couple of days figuring out many of the game mechanics in detail, compiling all the data and trying to present everything in a useful way, and now it has all relevant infos on the various drinks, meals, ingredients and wares, tavern and room ratings, taste profiles, patron and staff traits, skill levels, modifiers, etc. Still a lot is missing, but it's a wiki, it lives from people participating... If you want to help, now it's not an empty sheet any more.

i find it hard to pick them out during a busy day i was hoping for a list that i could click on to focus onto a specific employee

it was smooth until i expanded my tavern and hired more staff. now its laggy and stuttery. i’m on a pretty decent RAM and graphic cards.

I'm having consistent difficulty with patrons leaving because of accommodations. But I have servers to man the front desk, and multiple bedrooms of varying quality and all below the recommended price. As far as I can tell, the rooms have never been completely booked up, either.

Can somebody point out where I might be going wrong? Do I need more servers? Or even more rooms? My tavern will be over 50% inn if that's the case.

I’m trying to figure out what all raw materials I need to craft swords and axes. Anyone able to tell me what the raw ingredients are? I have 3 different types of ingots and I added the grinding stone and quenching pool but the blacksmiths aren’t working on crafting them.

I am playing the new Level in the mountain, building my tavern but I cant get the stairs. It keeps saying blocked no matter what I do. I build a foundation. Blocked. Built a storeroom for it to go in with nothing around. Still blocked. Tried to Wheel down. Wont let me. Im getting very frustrated, Can anyone help?

I really like hearthes, they provide cozy look combined with heating. I like putting comfy chairs next to them for the vibe. Currently though I feel like I'm forced to chose between having hearth far away from everything to the point it looks ugly and benefits weaken, or put out fires every second day. Is anyone else facing same dilemma?

I've reached the stage where Dwarves want cake, but can not figure out what actually counts as a "topping". Just spent over a thousand gold buying whatever sounded right, which turned out to be a waste.

So where are toppings? How do I get them?

I can not figure out how to obtain or make desserts. There is no dessert table to buy, there is no recipe for a cake base, nor is there any option to buy them. What am I meant to do? I have been stuck like this for 4 hours.

I've found that patrons refuse to use tables, despite them being in the taproom. Do they need to be in another room? Is the tap room too big? There's nothing indicating anything lmao

I'm being an idiot, I cant understand how to create an opening so they can actually get down there and begin clearing out

Tried a few combinations, but can't seem to find any mixture of cake ingredients (flour, sweetener, toppings) that is actually worth the investment. I can still make a profit on it, but the margin is so small any interruption in supply puts me in the red.

I know the Orehearts and Ironbreakers have differing tastes (Orehearts like Vines, Ironbreakers like Brews for example), but neither seem terribly interested in desserts despite that one storybook quest.

Maybe I’m dumb, but I can’t figure out how to remove walls I’ve built in my rooms

This is just a random shower thought, but I love the idea of being able to sacrifice tavern rating or money or an employee 😬 to summon demonic patrons when you need a boost in the middle of the night.

Sometimes you just have that feeling of:

-"Man I wish people would come to my taverrn, I'd do anything!"

-"...Anything you say?"

I also feel the potential for amusing storires and writing to go along with this is immense and quite Pratchett-esque

Been playing on the experimental branch, and I have noticed that even though my front office and most of my customer bedrooms are downstairs, no guests ever go downstairs. Are customers by default not allowed in the basement, and how do I go about getting them to my inn short of rearranging my whole tavern?

Aesthetics, music and game overall looks way too similar to Tavern Keeper...

I bought the game early access about a year ago. At that time there was no controller support and I had to sort of bodge what I could manually. It was playable but I couldn't do some stuff like rotate furniture.

Now there is controller support but it's very very un-intuitive, fiddly and makes the game downright unenjoyable.

Are there plans to work on it further, or is this "it"? 😬

How do I access arcane Orders? I'm at the voting stage of halflington. I assume they are unlocked at some point in the story but if so I'd like to know when.
