A while ago I came across a short song on Instagram that only had this chorus:

“Tekel al mi da
Tekel al mi da
Tekel al mi damo
Och sam todo”

I really liked the melody and atmosphere, but I couldn't find a full version, so I decided to develop the idea into a complete song.

I chose Kyrgyz for the lyrics because I wanted to explore a Turkic language outside of Turkish and reach listeners in Central Asia as well.

The lyrics are inspired by the poetry of the Turkish poet Namık Kemal, while the music has an Anatolian folk-inspired sound.

Does the sound feel familiar in any way? And what do you think of the song overall?
