I’m looking for a tarot deck that can pair well with the Seasons of the Witch: Samhain Oracle deck. Something dark with reds. Mostly looking for something more introspective, and for me personally the often straight couples on the cards don’t really do it for me. I’m not opposed to females being depicted in the cards. I just would rather have two males on cards like the lovers, Two of cups, and other similar vibe cards. I also don’t care if the deck does or doesn’t have sexualized art. I have searched extensively and come up short.

I'm currently working on creating my own Tarot and Oracle decks, and I've been looking into The Game Crafter as a possible printing and production option.

I'm curious if anyone here has actually used them to produce their own decks.

How was the overall quality of the cards, printing, colors, and packaging? Were you satisfied with the finished product?

I'm also interested in hearing about production costs, shipping, and whether you've used them to sell your decks or just make personal copies.

I'd appreciate hearing about both good and bad experiences before I get too far into production.

I could use some of your opinions. I have some money put aside to buy myself some "toys", and I was thinking that since I already got the Terra Volatile bundle, I might as well add the book to my collection (the big version).

Their site is very helpful, but I'm thinking that the book presents more things about the cards. I saw that on the site, for the Major Arcana, the symbolism in the images isn't presented everywhere, and the alternative cards aren't really presented either.

I'm thinking they must be presented better in the book. I looked on yt a bit to check, but it left me with the impression that some alternative cards are not included in the book, so I don't know if I should get it or not.

Do you think having it would help me more? Would it help me understand the deck much better? I love this deck and I kinda want to discover all its secrets.

I've heard that the Marseilles cards are one of the oldest and respected decks around and decided to get a 1930 version which has colors that appeal to me more than the "original" decks online. I'm not looking for interpretations, just wondering if people familiar with this deck do reversals.

After one week The Somnambulant Tarot is 94% funded!

The deck is based off of the RWS with a heavy emphasis on subconsciousness, abstraction, and surrealism. The artwork is hand made pen and ink drawing with absolutely no AI used whatsoever on any part of the project.

We are so close to funding. I am doing a number of events over the next few weeks to promote the kickstarter, so I am sure we will get there before the campaign ends.

Since a full major+minor arcana tarot deck has 78 cards and i DO NOT have the time for that....each of the cards here took like 3 hours each😭

Cards/charachters

1.Aralith, they are my dnd charachter and are very close to my heart, since the were one of my first dnd charachters.

5.Cardinal Theo, he is an OC I made that is based in the lore of my favourite band Ghost

12.Tobias, he is one of the charachters im trying to develop the world for the dnd game that i dm (and maybe i will try to write some stories with him for my school's paper, but idk)

15.Cardinal Theo/Papa Mansurus, they are the same charachter but basically Mansurus is Theo in the future but Mansurus is maybe more like an alter ego Theo developed for his concerts and clergy duties

(Im sorry that this may not make sence, but its tied, like i said, to the lore of the band Ghost)

18.Vesper Marlowe, they are a changeling and a dnd-style charachter that im using to explore my identity issues.

I'm not sure if this is the sub for it but I thought I'd start here. I got a Linestrider Tarot deck after falling in love with the Winterseer Animal Oracle deck. I think the cards are beautiful. I've shuffled them around after taking time to look at each care and get a sense of the deck. I did maybe two "getting to know you" readings and I've noticed that no matter what I do or how I shuffle the cards, The Fool is pulling away from the other ones. It's creating a gap in the deck! Sometimes it integrates in if I shuffle it into a smaller pile and then into a larger one but it always stands out again with repeated shuffling. It's been through enough shuffling that it should be integrated with the rest of the deck. I've contacted the company I bought the cards from and thought I'd inquire on Reddit too. Is there anyone here with this deck that's had the same issue? Anyone have any ideas of what I can do other than repeated shuffling? I don't know if this is something that will get better with time or worse with time. I can't find any blemish on The Fool compared to the other cars and some of the other cards will do this too but The Fool is the most consistent one. This is an issue because I almost always know where it is in the deck. Help!

p.s. - I realize there's a larger gap in this picture but the one down the middle is the issue and it's difficult to capture one handed.

Anyone ever seen or used these decks?

I just got a used copy of the Hieronymus Bosch tarot, and it’s in perfect condition, except that the whole deck is twisted. Not figuratively, but literally. Put the deck face up on a table, the tops of the cards are tilted right, and the bottoms tiled left.

I did a cursory google search, and followed the advice of placing the cards alternating between face up and face down, and weighing them down for two days. It helped a little. The twist is no longer visibly obvious, but the deck still rocks on a flat table. A single card still won’t lay flat.

I’m reticent to try using heat or steam for fear of ruining the cards. Should I try more weight, more time under the weight, or both? Is there anything anyone has done that has flattened a warped deck?

years ago there was a deck being advertised to me that I was absolutely in love with. I thought I saved the link, but I've never been able to find it again!

here's what I remember:

- I think a vulture was the death card.

- possibly all of the cards were animals?

- maybe a southern/Appalachian theme?

- OR animals people have negative impressions of?

- I think it was very minimal, like just line art?

- I feel like the card background was white, the lineart was black and then there was maybe red or gold as accents?

Hi all, I’d love to know if anyone has any more information about this deck because I’ve seen very little online.

But I’m dubious as the shop also sells very cheap decks by creators that I doubt can be anything other than cheap clones (eg Blooming Cat) and doesn’t mention any creator names. There also seem to be several decks which show up in Shein or Aliexpress a fair bit.

I’m now really curious about this deck’s origin. Does anyone know the creator, when it was released, or anything about its current status?

Hi all, I recently got Rose Bae’s These Blue Bones oracle deck. I’ve fallen in love with it and am looking for a tarot deck to pair with it.

To me, These Blue Bones feels melancholic and evokes blue hour, the feeling of being adrift at sea. It’s poetic; it feels like it sits on the precipice of darkness falling after the sun has set. It speaks to my sadness in a very comforting way.

I’m looking for a tarot deck that gives off a similar vibe, akin to the feeling I get from the images attached to this post. Bonus points if the deck has similar shades of blues.

I considered the Blue Earth tarot, which has beautiful deep blues and evokes the feeling I’m looking for, but I’m not a fan of minimalist decks. I’m worried I won’t feel pulled to read with it. On that note, no pip decks please!

I’m also generally not a fan of collage decks (ironic because These Blue Bones is collage, but it works for me).

Vehemently against AI decks.

Edit: I’ve looked up all the decks mentioned and watched some flipthroughs, love so many of the decks y’all suggested. Somnia does give me a melancholic, lonely vibe but I much prefer illustrated decks over photography, and the illustrated Somnia doesn’t quite give me that same feel.

Trying to place this deck. (I’ve censored the nudity so I can post it) It looks like a François Gassmann - but I’m so confused - because I thought all the Gassmann figures are supposed to have had clothes painted over their nudey bits, whereas clearly here the star card is baring everything to the elements. I’m so confused! Any help appreciated. 🙏

Hi all! The Fiendish Figures Tarot is a deck that started as a personal project, as a way to learn the tarot in a transformative manner. I am super happy I managed to make this much progress within almost exactly a year. I feel confident I can finish the minor arcana in ~2 years now!

The deck is mostly based on the RWS, though I interpret some cards differently than most, so it's not one to one. I also prefer more subtle symbolism than the RWS tends to have.

I used MPC for this print. Linen finish, silver gilded edges. I'm planning on putting the major arcana on MPC's marketplace sometime soon, since some of my friends wanted a copy and I'm not able to do a full kickstarter right now. But I am looking into kickstarter as an option whenever the full deck has been finished.

for context i already own a tarot deck that my ma bought me in 2020 ish and i didnt use them for a long time. recently got back into it (about a week or two ago) and started doing readings for me and my friend while on call. i think my deck is more connected to her energy than mine 🫠.

im just wondering if its not good or recommended to buy from certain places like amazon, or should i buy in store or from small businesses? also any deck recommendations for beginners are helpful! 💙

Hey all, I'm just getting back into my practice and recently started working with tarot again. I currently have The Wild Unknown tarot deck and absolutely love it. It is beautiful and feels fairly intuitive most days but I am struggling as I'm learning tarot. I was hoping to find a Rider-Waite-Smith deck, or something heavily based off that deck, but that isn't so heavy on the yellow. Something about the yellow just makes that deck very hard for me to work with, I'm much more of a green or blue person. I love all the independent decks, and eventually want to expand my collection with some of the stunning decks I've seen, but for now I just want a basic workhorse deck that vibes with me better than the original RWS deck. Anybody have any ideas on a good deck? I live in a rural area so I don't have the option of shopping in person for decks very often, so I don't get to see and feel before buying myself.
