Our guy Benny Will getting all this hate when he puts together quality at bats, draws walks, and makes great plays defensively. We could have Gavin Lux at 2nd, all joking aside I love Richie Rich as much as the next guy, I know Richie always starts spreading the news!!! But why hate Benny when he does what our roster wants? I was as excited as all of you for last night’s game, and as it progressed, I kept thinking, boy Cleveland is getting a lot of hits. And I’m watching the pitchers and they don’t look terrible. I’m no pitching expert, but I’ve seen a lot of games and I can’t say they were pitching poorly. But Cleveland got 14 hits including two home runs. The last time the Rays gave up that many hits at home was April 7 of this year. I thought the game felt very unique. It’s been six months since we’ve seen something remotely like that. Every hit for Cleveland fell and every frozen rope and hard hit ball for the Rays was an out. Rays those chins up fans. Anything can happen in the postseason, but last night‘s game was extremely rare and to this point in the season, a fluke. If Cleveland can continue to have unprecedented performances in the playoffs, they will beat anyone. But I’m guessing that’s not going to happen.
