Mod Post A small change to posting requirements
Hey everyone,
I wanted to let everyone know about a small change we've had to make to the subreddit.
Due to a recent influx of racist and otherwise inflammatory posts, including posts being made by newly created accounts, we've enabled a 5-day account-age requirement for submitting posts.
I know this is an inconvenience for legitimate new users, and I genuinely apologize for that. We don't want to put unnecessary restrictions on people who are simply joining the community and want to participate. Unfortunately, we've had someone repeatedly create new accounts to get around bans and continue posting racist content, and at this point we needed to take an additional step to keep the subreddit from becoming a target for that behavior.
This restriction only applies to new posts. It is not intended to prevent people from participating normally once their account meets the requirement, and existing members shouldn't notice any difference.
Hopefully this is something we won't need to keep in place forever. We'll continue to monitor the situation and can reconsider the restriction if the influx of bad-faith accounts dies down.
Thanks for your understanding, and sorry again for the inconvenience. We're just trying to keep this community welcoming and enjoyable for everyone.

Is season two of World Beyond worth the watch? I heard it kinda sucks.
I probably need it for canon right?

Glenn’s survivability chances
Okay this is a stretch. Hypothetically, let’s say Negan decides to land the first blow to Glenn and stop there for whatever reason.
Do you all think it would have been possible for Glenn to survive that kind of head trauma. If we look at the scene after the first hit, there’s obvious facial damage around his left eye, fore head, and skull. Not sure how deep you all would gauge the crack in the skull, but I’ve definitely seen deeper in a T1 hospital. Again, on the assumption they take him and Maggie to Hilltop, do you think he makes a recovery, if any?
I’m not making an argument for either or, just want to hear some opinions. What do you guys think?

I am developing an expansive open-world/sandbox TWD (The Walking Dead) game and I need some help.
Hello everyone. First of all, I want to clarify that this is not a fake post or anything of the sort; I am genuinely developing a game. I have a few questions and requests, but before that, I’d like to introduce my game.
The game is set in \*The Walking Dead\* universe. Our protagonist, Rickon—a 38-year-old sheriff in California and a father—is shot while on duty. He wakes up in a hospital to find that the world has completely changed; the "walkers" (zombies) have taken over. (I intentionally modeled the game's storyline after \*The Walking Dead\* series.) From this point on, the player enters an open world filled with looters, innocent settlers, and zombies—and our character is not alone. I am planning for there to be, fundamentally, three paths available to our character:
The player explores the city, scavenges for loot, meets various NPCs, establishes their own settlement, and gradually develops it into a full-fledged civilization (this process will be highly detailed, involving a construction system, task delegation among NPCs, tracking the morale of individual NPCs, etc.).
The player realizes that the "good" cannot survive in this world and chooses a darker path. They can either form their own band of raiders or join an existing, larger raider faction—conducting raids on settlements, killing or capturing people, looting, and so on.
(My personal favorite) Unable to find their family, the player decides to live alone in the wilderness—perhaps by a river in the forest—pursuing a quiet, peaceful life while gradually building up their own base.
While these three paths form the core, the aspect of the game that will likely take me dozens of hours to develop is creating a "living world." By this, I mean that NPC settlements will grow over time—or collapse due to raider attacks—while raider groups, bases, and various factions will engage in conflicts with one another.
However, implementing all of this—even on a 2D isometric map—will likely require 100,000 to 150,000 lines of code.
I want to ensure that all this hard work doesn't go to waste. That is why I need to know: if I were to develop this game, would you stand behind me and offer your support?
I have been involved in game development for a long time and certainly have the time to dedicate to this; I simply want to understand your perspective—as players—on a game like this. PLEASE SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS
(I have now created the skeleton/foundation of the game.)

Season 6 and Seven were cool but they could have been legendary if they didn't have as much filler episodes

Am I too vanilla for the show?
I’m the type of person who always loves character building and I always get shut down immediately when bring up the idea of characters getting childhood back stories so we understand their character bit more like next season Daryl Dixon, we’re supposed to be getting a backstory to his childhood which I’ve been wanting for so long ever since we started getting little bits and pieces about who his father really was and I want that for every character and that’s been my biggest flaw in the character writing whenever I make a comic or think about a TV show is that I wanna build the character up before putting them into a team up film
And for The Walking Dead, I want to get some backstory on some characters childhood, but like I said people always shut the idea down even though I think it would be a cool idea cause I always think that more character development and like character backstory is good for a show and it will get you more in tuned with the character
I don’t know what do you guys think?

What character storyline would you have given to someone else?
I'll use Beth.
The idea of her having a sibling bond with Glenn, He and Maggie work to guide her.. essentially ahe fullfills a role similar to Sophia in the comics and Enid in the show. Wrestling with her new dark side after her hospital experience trying to be strong.
She takes Sasha's death... the idea of her being the one to give her life for others after being criticized for trying to take it seasons earlier? Full circle.
She takes Carl's death... Like her father before her Beth could be a moral compass for the others. She's tried to support Maggie and Daryl's grief. Maybe Negan took an interest and messed with her a little bit to upset Daryl. She saves someone and gets infected using her dying breath to reiterate peace over evil.
She takes one of Rosita's deaths. If she couldn't live happily ever after... I would want her to make it to the end sustaining a bite and dying peacefully.
Either scenario she could have a moment with everyone. Maybe Daryl tells her she was more than another dead girl.
Knowing the show... they'd probably let her romance someone long enough to become pregnant and get the pike!
Who would you guys choose?

how are they killing the walkers?
at the cdc jenner told the group that the walkers disease only affects the brain stem and not the rest of the brain. how are they killing the walkers by shooting/stabbing them in the front of the brain where it’s already dead? any feedback would be appreciated, especially if this has already been discussed

What do you think of Season 10's "What We Become"? Spoiler
gallerySo I just finished this episode tonight, and damn it surprised me!
(Note: If the comics have anything like this, I wouldn't know cause I've never read them)
I was wondering when we'd finally pick back up with Michonne once Alpha was dealt with by our main group. At first, it felt like a regular episode as we arrived at the island where Virgil came from, but it does take an unexpected turn.
By the time Virgil drugs Michonne, I was confused as to where it was about to go. So we then see Michonne in this Alternate Reality/What If scenario where instead of saving Andrea and joining the group back in Season 3, she ends up with the Saviors! And we see how everything else plays out from there, until the drug trip ends.
She later discovers that Rick was either on or near the island a while ago, after finding his boots and more of his stuff left behind.
I don't know what else to say, other than I didn't expect what this episode was gonna do. And now, I'm really dying to see what they're gonna do in The Ones Who Live spinoff. Especially since it's the only spinoff I'm interested in watching for now.

If you were a survivor on the road in the show who would you not want to run into just BASED OFF HOW THEY LOOK? You have no knowledge of these characters

After a year of posting this image I still think Aaron had the biggest character development in the show
Who do you think had a big character development throughout the series?
