Something I cant help but think about is the fact that theyre all so vocal about the fact each "alter" is their own person, yet they use we/us/our pronouns. If everyone is individual... wouldnt that then be still the regular first person singular pronouns or whatever?
No matter how you swing it, us/we/our is just 1) incorrect and 2) ✨️attention seeking✨️ behavior.
Note: this post does NOT serve as a place to invalidate singular they/them pronouns so dont come in here with that shit. They/them pronouns are very valid as single person as told by hundreds of years of human history. We/us is NOT. I stand by that.

And appropriating culture alongside it, pick a struggle.

Wearing a badge to show off your very personal and vulnerable mental illness/disorder baffles me beyond belief, especially the reviews and the fact that some of these shops have over 100+ sales.
Personally, I don’t understand waving around your disorders as if it’s a quirky trait you happen to have. And besides, who needs to know?? Why would I care that you have a disorder when you’re a complete stranger to me? I can’t imagine “oh yeah my personality isn’t fully integrated because of horrific repeated trauma I endured” is a fun conversation starter. I don’t think you should be ashamed of your disorders and always hide them/mask. But I also think you shouldn’t exactly be merchandising them and putting them on display as if it’s something fun or needed to be known by everyone either. At least that’s my opinion on it.

Also, I'll be leaving for a trip and don't know if I'll be online. So, I'll see you all when I get back.

TW: psychiatric/medical neglect, suicide/self harm, ableism
The Colin Ross Institute for Trauma is one of the few clinics specializing in dissociative disorders in the USA. They used to be located in Canada and California, but those have been closed down due to the same issues present in the Denton, Texas location (HIPAA violations). Multiple patients have reported the facility to both the Texas State Health Department and the US Department of Health and Safety. Dude also believes he can shoot lasers out of his eyes and is one of the og ramcoa guys. Yikes.

If you guys were actually ramcoa I doubt you’d know what exact “programming” happened let alone knowing which “alters” have it

Main cringe aside, this is actually really harmful to claim because the goal of DID therapy is to work together as one whole (whether final fusion or functional multiplicity) and treating alters as so vastly different is genuinely harmful towards your own recovery.

Not the worst I’ve seen do this, but dear god is it still gross as hell to go on someone else’s page where they are advocating for actual trafficking survivors to draw attention to yourself like that. Then to see their page where they claim to have 1000+ alters is just so strange.

This is probably some satire thing where everyone gathers around in a circle and make jokes based of this. Well judging by the comments it sounded like it but made me yawn, yk their humour as usual

A nuanced issue they just don’t touch on in any meaningful way in this vid. Maybe it’s because kids are figuring out who they are, and since they don’t really know who they are yet, they’ve found something that sort of describes their experience that is then reinforced over and over by their community. And since they now have a framework with which to view their lives, they start seeing every behavior and thought as a symptom of the disorder. I mean, it isn’t like teens have a very stable sense of self to begin with, that’s part of why psychiatry frowns on diagnosing teens with personality disorders. Couldn’t be that something in online communities that encourages uniqueness and trauma Olympics in TEENAGERS is popular because it fills social needs and gets them attention and makes them feel special, right guys?

Are they actually trying to say that in a singular moment red split a new alter or do they not know changing alters is called “switching”
