Session Data Import

So I have been using studio one v5 for almost 5+ years and recently started working at a studio setup where they use pro tools. A lot of the features of studio one feel a lot easier to digest compared to PT but the import session data feature in PT is seemingly more robust compared to how S1 handles it.

I can roughly do the same in S1 but in PT I get the option to choose the specific pan parameters and volume parameters in automation settings that I want to import but in S1 for example in a large session if I want to import only the volume and not the pan that isn't possible, I have to import both. I also cannot implement channel settings on an existing track. I will have to import the new track and move all my clips to that new track with the track settings on it. Has that improved in the latest version of S1?

No, has not really improved. But you have other means of importing stuff like mixer scenes, stuff like that. However, you might want to submit a feature request

No it hasn’t. This is something I’ve been asking them about for years and not one person has said anything about it. I don’t think they can do it
