"The Four-Season Gardener – Getting Ahead for Spring”
Some of the best gardening work happens long before spring arrives. Join us for an inspiring presentation on how to get a head start on next year's garden through winter sowing, early seed starting, and seasonal planning. Learn practical techniques to extend your growing season, save money and enjoy stronger, healthier plants when warmer weather returns. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced gardener, you’ll leave with ideas and strategies to help your garden thrive from the ground up.
Our Speakers
Kim Hutten and Marilyn Park are Master Gardeners with the Grand Erie Master Gardeners. For those who may not be familiar with Master Gardeners, they are volunteer community members that commit to life-long learning and education in the community.
Marilyn Park has been gardening for more than 40 years, and enjoys creating spaces that are both beautiful and functional. Her commitment to life-long learning inspired her to become a Master Gardener, and she’s currently learning about pollinators and birds and the plants they need.
Kim Hutten has been gardening for 25 years. She became a Master Gardener as a way to enjoy her hobby with like-minded people and serve the community. She enjoys hearing the wind in the grass, the pollinators bouncing from plant to plant and eating food that was started from seed and grown just outside the door.
