Hi there all! How’s your week going?

I’ve actually been working on a sci-fi short film project for a while now along with CC Cynan, being the time to showcase my favourite storyboarding from it.

With this said, I currently got open slots for new projects, either comics or art commissions. My portfolio and contact info are in the comments.

Thank you!

Here’s some examples of what I can do. Some more simple sketchy ones at the end. Please get in touch if you’d like to work with me! Would love to help bring your ideas to life :)

I may have overdone the storyboard for my fantasy self-portrait video.

Do you usually storyboard your personal project in this much detail, or do you prefer to improvise?

In Storyboarder, I can not place object in character's right-hand?

I am hoping someone here knows Wonder Unit Storyboarder software quite well.

There are some basic objects you can select, including a pistol, but it automatically goes into the left hand. I need it in the right hand.

I know you can attach it to the bone of the right hand, however, it does not appear in the right hand. It just floats in space. I can physically move it over to the right hand, but it is not oriented properly.

When it is in the left hand it sits there perfectly, but not in the right.

This is actually important for my storyboards, because my camera placement is dictated by the hand the weapon is in.

How can I get this to work and actually look good in the right hand?

Question about “grid” boards for portfolios

I just watched an excellent video about how to do animation pipeline-style storyboards in Procreate.

https://youtu.be/UKifEVDIHJ0?is=KDxkONQP3yHF40iA

Near the beginning, the artist makes note that this is not for “a grid of storyboards that you can put in a portfolio or for a commercial.” IDK for sure if that’s the standard for storyboard portfolios, for the sake of this post, I’m going to assume it is, but feel free to correct me if you’re more knowledgeable.

What I want to know is, if I create the storyboards in the “pipeline” way, then arrange the finished panels in a grid on another page to submit to my portfolio, would it make a different to a potential employer? Is the grid layout solely for practicality (ie, easy to say yay or nay at a moment’s glance), or do they also want to know if you can draw a board as a grid? Or am I just making assumptions?

Thanks in advance.

How do you Storyboard Fight Scenes???

No lie. I think I am just an idiot or something. So I have a hard time trying to figure out the storyboarding a fight scene? Like this is a barrier. I watched too much king fu, anime, and action movies to figure out the structure of the fight scene and what they are fighting for. But storyboarding it is a hassle.

Like my favorite action movies right now is Raid Redemption and I was looking online and I do not see a single storyboard because all the people in the movie just did the choreography right there. So I am like confused man?

How do you storyboard a fight scene?? Do you use reference when coming up with the story board or do you just wing it (imagination)?

Some chosen boards vs final shots comparisons for a Huggies social media spot I storyboarded on. This was a multi-episode promo in the style of telenovelas with all the dramatics and zoom ins!

Forsaken Blue by Drawunis

Forsaken Blue :
Le jour, ils règnent sur nous. La nuit, ils s'en nourrissent. Et l'océan réclame leur âme.

À 37 ans, Joshuah touche enfin au but.

Where do I start?

I was working on just animation but then I started learning about lighting, materials, then sound and how everything works together then when i zoom out more the only thing left I think is story boarding but I don't know what that means.

I have a loose idea for a project I want to storyboard but I am not sure what I should do to storyboard.

How am I supposed to make storyboards?

Hi everyone! I'm an aspiring creative director, and I'm doing some spec campaigns in my free time to build out my portfolio. I've had some good ideas for music videos and advertisements that I want to make, but I'm struggling to make a storyboard. I'm struggling with making images. I really don't want to use generative AI, but I also cannot draw or graphic design to save my life. Do you guys have any suggestions for what I can do? Thanks :)
