i made the very stupid mistake of trusting some dude with a heavy accent and i had given him it to sell on another website and doing so it asked for me to send a little money to confirm and i fell for it and now i lost both of these things(money and tomislav)With this info i will only use the steam community market and only with close people i know in real life.

i'm already feeling stupid and never wanting to trust any trader like that again.

I have learnt my lesson and will never do it again

What can i do and help get my tomislav and or money back and stop scams in the future for others and im ok with losing my stuff ill take the L and move on with my life

This person has somehow sent themselves a game from my account via gift. I did not approve this purchase and I don’t know who this person is. It was metro exodus with all dlc for $70. I tried to refund twice but both times were not approved. Please give me advice on how I can get my money back

So, i was playing 100% orange juice campaign until i got a text from a random chinese steam user, the user showed me the photo of an item that i NEVER listed it on the steam community marketplace. Is this a scam?

I blurred the QR code because i dont want any of yall being stupid and scanning it. They took a steam friend's account and posted this. Nothing else. literally one image. I am not THAT stupid. Dont get me wrong, im dumb. but im not THAT dumb.

Soo Im 12 and Im from Russia and on this week.. honestly idk what was happening. I had a friend, we knew each other in life, we were friends for 3 years and like a week ago we were playing Skate. together. I had my pc broken and I was playing on a notebook thats like 4 years old and my game was lagging very hard. Then, I was standing still, my friend says be like why tf are u standing still, I say him stfu my game is lagging (the reason I was do angry he was trashtalking me for like all life and was saying things abt my parents and also he was on online learning and I had 7 lessons). Than he starts so say so much shi about me and it lasted for like 5 min. Than we all stayed quiet, he leaves the call and… BLOCKS ME EVERYWHERE,SAYING THAT IM STUPID AF AND DELETES ALL HIS COMMENTS FROM MY PROFILE AND ALL MY COMMENTS ON HIS PROFILE ON STEAM. I was like ok I will never play but one time I logged onto mine account on steam on his pc to play my games and he returns game that I bought for me, (I had 12 dollars on my account) and buys games for his friends and thing for himself on dota 2… Ofc I logged of all devices and returned one game (other are waiting for them to see my return), but he used things, that he buyed for dota 2… Idk what to do now bc Im scared of my money (I send a appeal on his account but idk if its gonna work). Btw his account name is amnezz1ax or amnezz1qx, maybe comment him if anyone sees this :(

A few days ago, I bought a Steam game.

When I tried to activate it, a message appeared saying that the key was a duplicate and had already been used. I reported this to support, and then again two days later. I’ve only been getting automated replies, but nothing else.

Llevo 6 años utilizando steam (no de manera recurrente) mi correo electronico constantemente era hackeado, a mi me daba lo mismo ya que no tenia nada, o eso creia: el dia de hoy me llegaron 2 correos, uno con una compra de steam y otra con un cambio de correo. al revisar mi perfil, habian vendido todas mis skins del cs. no necesariamente quiero recuperarlas pero, ¿que puedo hacer para recuperar mi cuenta?

So a 2 weeks ago I got an account alert that someone was trying to access my account after I downloaded some shady stuff (which I deleted and ran malwarebytes). I contacted steam support from this button and did everything they told me to which was to tell them me email, last digits of a debit card..etc. They also told me to add funds and approve a market transaction to confirm my ownership and then they will send the funds back to my card. I'm still not sure if this is the actual support agents or not since it's been quite a while already. They also said that after the money is refund back to my card all restrictions would be lifted, and even though I had some more questions they would not reply back. I'm still not sure and a little worried.

i got a message from another steam account and he told me that i have purchased a thing from him even though i didnt, he also told me a he mass reported me and he is sorry for it cus i sisnt buy shi, he told me to email "support@steamcomunity.services" and an auto bot replied me and sent me to GrinnDev, a added him on steam and now on dis, i am in a dis call with him ( none of us are taking with a mic ) and he shows me this certification(only after i asked him) and tells me to show him my steam purchase hystory and now he tells me to log out of my account, i am sceptic and wnt help, i wanna help the dude but if he is a bumm scammer i dont want him to scamm me

Trading in tf2 items, they are vac banned in cs. Are there any concerns associated with this?

I recently decided to switch from PlayStation to steam because of all the issues with Sony. I had some old games I used to play there so I was excited. I dropped thousands of dollars into a gaming pc and tried to sign into my old account. When I did it prompted me to verify via email. The problem is I do not have access to that email anymore. So I contacted support and they said to send them the cd keys to “prove ownership”. Well I downloaded them digitally and told them I don’t have physical copies. They replied that it would have been sent on the receipt (which would be by email that I don’t have access to anymore). I spent $60 trying some 3rd party thing that is supposed to find keys for you but it had no luck. I responded to support that I don’t have access to my email so there is no way to get any of that information. They basically told me :

I am basically screwed out of my games now because their verification process is screwed up. Every company has multiple ways to verify ownership. And what really sucks is I have my login and password. It’s their verification that won’t let me sign in.

Any suggestions?

I was queueing for a match then suddenly my profile picture became question then I received this message and all my friends got blocked. This happened before around 1 year or more ago then happened again I’ve change my password email and logged all accounts since last time but still somehow got hacked again

I’ve changed all my stuff again including email,password and checked for virus through offline scan and if you’re wondering if I clicked any link I didn’t as i don’t really have messaging apps on laptop and I only play games on it.

Can someone tell me how I got hijacked thx
