Steam Machine audio not working.

I prefer to use my SM in desktop mode but when I wake from sleep audio thru HDMI does not work. Bluetooth works. Game mode audio works. When I switch back to desktop from game mode audio works but I'm sure this isn't how it's supposed to be.

The problem started since I last updated the OS to the latest version. Has anyone else had this problem? I've not been able to find a solution and I was wondering if I should revert to an older OS or use a beta version?

I'm not sure what to do but I find myself less and less interested in using the SM.

I am having the same issue Idk if it started after I tried using steam link. It was just working but stopped and I tried messing with the audio settings and it’s not fixing it.
