Bluetooth issues on Steam Machine?

So, I recently got steam machine without controller, and I’m a newbie on SteamOS too. Is there anyone had issues on connecting PS5 controller and Headpone through bluetooth?

I used desktop mode>bluetooth>pairing but devices not found. Devices used only when connected through usb but i prefer wireless

If you ever able to troubleshoot this, please share!! Thanks

Are you on beta or stable? Beta I had huge issues with keeping my ps5 controller paired. But when I went back to stable the issues went away.

But I also never bothered connecting in desktop mode. Only ever used it in regular gaming mode.

And is your wifi on? Idk if it would matter. But on my pc that has steam os it uses my wifi antenna for Bluetooth. So If I dont have it plugged in it wont work. Could be a software thing where if your wifi is off so is your Bluetooth. But thats just an idea.

Hi doyou mind explaining the difference between beta and stable? And how will i know which one im using?

In game mode go to settings then system and check if youe beta participation is stable, beta, or preview. If you want it to just work (at least as much as possible) then you want stable.

I had a MediaTEK module in my motherboard by default, and it did not cooperate at all.  I replaced the module with an Intel one, and my problems were solved.
