Discussion PCVR Motion Smoothing Not Supported?

Anyone else having the issue of motion smoothing not being able to be enabled? Like I can enable it pwr application, but it doesn't seem to work even then... Maybe on No Mans Sky? Like it does seem to half the framerate on NMS, not certain if it's smoothing it though.

But yeah, in the Steam VR settings it tells me "Not Supported"

I have a 4080 and updated drivers/software.

I am going to jump in and say that I'm having the same issue. I haven't been able to enable smooth motion since the start with this headset. I've tried to research it myself, but i haven't found anything. I'd love to hear from someone who knows what's up.

Same. It seems it MIGHT have to do with Nvidia drivers, but some sort of long term continuous issue maybe?

I can’t speak for Frame, but as a Questie, Steam VR’s motion smoothing has always been the worst motion interpolation. I keep it off permanently, and only use Virtual Desktop’s SSW instead when needed - it’s much better not stuttery at all.

iirc the steam motion smoothing doesn't properly work with VD. I could be wrong. But it does look a lot better on my PSVR2 vs when I use my Quest 3 over VD.
