Discussion Frame on a Plane? How about Frame on a Train?

Post image

On my way back from a birthday dinner, I decided to put my frame on and try it out on the train. Worked pretty well, but when the train went through some track switches, the G-forces made my dashboard float to the outside of the train, lol.

If I'd be with friends or family (who have heard me talk about this VR thing for months.. years) and told them I wanted to try something out for a bit they wouldn't care. But I definitely would not make this a regular thing, that I agree with. It's asocial.

I didn't catch what they said before they deleted it, but if they were concerned about the others sitting across from me, they are my partner and her sibling's partner, and they were the ones who convinced me to try it out. the rest of that section of train were nearly empty since it was almost midnight. I wouldn't normally use the frame on the train, no.

Yea I thought something like that, that could be a situation I could be in. It's on my list to try out in the train. The user basically asked if you went alone to the dinner. Because if you were travelling with others this would be.. I don't know how it was phrased, a slap in the face to them? Don't worry about it. Some people focus on the negative explanation of a situation. Maybe out of ecperience.

Yeah, gotta love when people get offended on behalf of someone they don't even know, about a situation they know nothing about, lol.

You say asocial as if most people aren't doing the exact same thing buried in their phones. A VR headset is just being honest that you aren't present.

Agreed. That's why I don't take it out when I am with other people. Most friends do the same.

What a very specific train of thought, how did you even get to the point of thinking this could be their situation

Do you not feel shame? I could never do this.

Shame? For what? Trying their new toy in an interesting situation?

Live a little.

There was nobody else on this floor of the train car other than us 4 ( my partner and relatives) as it was almost midnight, as you can see in the picture. I wouldn't normally use it on a train (unless it was an overnight trip)
