I recently came across a windows based project on Reddit that could use multiple internet connections together and combine their speeds for downloads. I was surprised to see that something like this was even possible, so I tried it out and it worked pretty well.

I sent it to a friend who made a NixOS linux port for his own use. That got me thinking that something like this could be insanely useful on the deck, so I started working on a decky loader plugin for it.

The plugin lets you combine multiple network connections, such as wifi, dock/hub ethernet and usb tethering, and combines the speeds on steam game downloads and updates.

for my own use case. I combined my home wifi with usb tethering from my phone's 5g mobile data and got steam download speeds of over 450mbps on the Deck. (my home broadband is on a 200 meg plan)

It's still an early release, so feedback and testing would be really appreciated. please let me know your experience and if you have any suggestions for new features or bug fixes :3

Installation: download the decky zip from GitHub releases, enable developer mode in decky loader and install using the downloaded zip.

If you already subscribe to claude and have claude code you can ask claude how you can install it on your steamdeck. it is pretty easy. Once claude is on your steamdeck it can help you clean up duplicate files and unused downloads. It can also help you fix and install mods and decomps. I had claude fix all 3 resident evil Re enhanced mods for me yesterday. I had tried everything and gave up but the AI was able to get everything sorted and free about 60GB of space on my HDD. I know everyone hates AI but I just wanted to let you all know it can be used on the deck to fix things for you. GLHF

Are there any Steam Deck Stellaris hand held players out there with UI mods like 'Tiny Outliner' that actually work with 4.5?

Unfortunately, the only way I could manage playing hand held was with the Tiny Outliner V2 mod. I've just purchased 4.5, mod is incompatible and the game isn't really playable anymore. Hoping there's something similar that works with 4.5 to make the small space manageable. I am playing on native resolution 0.9 ui scale. Yes I can reduce the ui scale to potentially workaround but everything is then too small to see.

P.s: There ARE outliner mods in workshop that state they are 4.5 compatible but they break the game by pushing tabs of screen rendering the game unplayable.

I’m currently enjoying the first Age of Empires game on the steam deck. However, the game doesn’t seem to recognize a virtual keyboard so I can’t type a file name in order to save my game. Anyone come across this issue before?

I've been trying to get the Steam Deck's on-screen keyboard to work in WoW (using Steam + X) in Desktop Mode, but it just won't work, and I can't figure out why. I've tried both fullscreen and windowed mode, but neither seems to make a difference.

I'm honestly a bit lost at this point. Has anyone experienced this or knows how to fix it?

I want to make my Steamdeck as useful as something like a Roku or Apple TV when its docked to my TV, but I hate it when I have to resort to mouse control for certain apps. so is there a way I can get the YouTube app that is made for other set-top boxes on the SteamDeck?

I'm am trying to use my Red Dragon K585 keyboard along with my steamdeck in docked mode but having a bad time of it. I have it connected to the dock using a 2.4 dongle and the deck recognizes the keyboards inputs in the steam menus, but as soon as I boot up a game it refuses to work. Any ideas what the issue could be? How to fix it?

Hey! Anyone got Studio Pixel’s free 2007 shmup Guxt to work on Steam Deck? I added it as a non-Steam game and it loads fine using various Protons, but the controller setting seem to be the issue:

I can get the d-pad to highlight options on the main menu, but no button (even when mapped to Z, X, Space and Enter) will select them?

I downloaded the installer from the official Games Voices site, but I can't seem to run it. I've tried different compatibilitv versions; with some it doesn't launch at all and with others I get an error that.net framework 4.7.2 is installed, but I need to upgrade to 4.8. When I try to download version 4.8 via Protontricks, it aives an error saving that this version doesn't work well on 64-bit and it would be better to have a 32-bit prefix. The installation fails at this point. GE Proton didn't help either; the file won't open. I downloaded the.net framework 4.8 installer from the official site, the installation goes through, but the Russian language pack still requires 4.8. I'm at my wit's end, please help
