Question Steamlink streaming

When streaming games to my Quest 3 using Steamlink wireless is the Deck using my home network or is it a direct connection? Because if it's direct that means I could use it anywhere.

It's over the local network. You can use a phone hot-spot on the got to create a local network but results may vary depending on your phone and local interference.

I was wondering why the quality was so good, that means I need a phone with great wifi capabilities to do it?

With a decent processor, too, since that's what does all the heavy lifting. A second-rate budget phone will struggle to process all the data.

Yeah maybe it's better to use Quest HDMI LINK with a capture card cable

Note it on a post-it. I am terrified you use the same pass for everything and if it leaks you're pwned.
