Configuration Best way to configure joystick for Deadlock?

Ever since i got the Steam Machine I’ve been obsessed with Deadlock. I bought all these games to play and I’ve only played Deadlock lol I’ve put in like 500 hours. But as some of you may know, for best movement in Deadlock you need to not hold W and hold A or D and angle your camera in that direction. What’s the best way to configure my joystick so that the game doesn’t recognize me as pushing W even if im not perfectly pushing the joystick left or right?

You can change the Directional Pad Layout to Cross Gate. Alternatively (or in combination with that) you can change the W key command (and presumably also the S key command) to a Soft Press and change the Soft Press Threshold in its settings to have a different, larger deadzone for up (and down) than for left and right.

You could also use another button, Soft Pull on either trigger is a good candidate for this, to temporarily change the behavior of the joystick so the W key command (and presumably also the S key command) is not active using a Mode Shift.
