I have this amazing idea where we will write letters to townspeople and on wednesday, pierre will do delivery if someone ask for seeds, etc, we can a write a letter and next day, he will give the seeds we need, very cool idea, right?.

my perfection tracker is saying ive cooked 68% of recipes but ive done every single one except one of them and ive double checked by turning on my advanced crafting. is this/has this happened to anyone else? if so please share a solution! i can add photos if needed

It was supposed to be a birthday trip for me and my mom, but she had to cancel because of work.. then I was going to take a significant other but he's now an ex.. then I was going to take my little sister and now she also can't go because of work 🫠

You don't have to pay for the ticket, I'd just like some decent company for the trip and for it to not go to waste. Ideally you'll know a good spot for dinner before the show and not be a terrible human.

Every obelisk in the game has some use case, except the Mountain obelisk. The Desert Obelisk lets you visit the Desert at any time and with no fee to worry about. The Beach Obelisk is great for getting to the ocean early in the morning to go to Ginger Island or to fish for an octopus. The Island Obelisk basically turns Ginger Island into an extension of your farm.

But the Mountain Obelisk? Feel free to disagree but imo it is completely useless. If I want to go to the mines fast, it's only a 20 in-game-minute walk to the minecart system.

What about Cindersap Forest? Travel to that area is extremely limited. The only shortcut there is through the Sewers, and even then you're basically walking the same distance, just on a different map. There are several cool things to do in Cindersap (Marnie's Ranch, Wizard Tower, Leah, Secret Woods, waterfalls to fish in, even the Mastery Cave) and only three ways to get there, all of which are a little clunky.

So, why not repurpose the fourth obelisk, the one nobody (afaik) cares about, and create a fast travel option to the most travel-neglected part of the map? There's plenty of room in Cindersap for a fast travel spawn, and it would be great QoL for everyone. And since you could only fast travel to one place in the forest, I don't think it would be that game-breaking.

Edit: Apparently I am wrong and lots of people do in fact like the mountain obelisk. Forest obelisk would still be super cool though.

Had four for like 2 years then all of a sudden this, and 2 more the next day.

I am new to the world of stardew valley (woohoo!!), but I’m running into the issue that I’m trying to join a co-op and what happens is that the moment I click co-op ➡️online ➡️ join, the “join” box is blank!! It flashes some words for a second and then it’s gone. The refresh button does nothing and my WiFi is good!!

I’m playing on an Xbox, which I have restarted, turned off completely and turned on, quit the game and restarted it, and NOTHING is working!

I just downloaded the game today so ideally it should be up to date?? Somebody please help 😭 I came across a thread that some other folks were having the same issue from years ago, but nobody ever mentioned a resolution. :(

When I open Stardew Valley I get error 0x87E10BD4. I know it’s not Xbox because other games like Minecraft work perfectly. Does anyone know what it could be? I tried reinstalling and repairing it, but it still doesn’t work.

I wanted to share what SV has meant to me throughout the years.

I started playing SV when it first came out. I was in university then, dealing with an incredibly difficult home life and all the ups and downs of figuring yourself out as a young adult. Stardew Valley really helped give me a sense of comfort that i lacked. It got me through to graduation in 2018, my first corporate job, when that job turned into a nightmare, COVID, and so much more. I've taken breaks here and there for a while, but always came back.

A couple weeks ago, i was hit by a car, and that really shook my whole life around. I am mostly ok physically speaking, thank goodness, but mentally all over the place. You obviously never think something like this would happen to you, but I'm a really anxious person generally, and i always pay attention to my surroundings, check both sides when crossing, etc. One way to cope with my anxiety is to be as prepared as possible and do as many things right as I can (rational part of my brain says i cannot control all variables in life, but the anxiety begs to differ). So when something like that happened despite all my precautions, it feels like it took away that coping mechanism, and so that's why everything feels like it's spiralling in my brain.

Since the accident I've been spending a lot more time at home, and a couple days ago I redownloaded SV. I started a brand new farm, used a layout i've never tried before (meadow lands!) and i'm currently working on the community centre for the millionth time. And it just made me feel like, everything can be rebuilt. I've had glorious magnificent farms in the past, and my current one looks all sad! but i can make it into a glorious magnificent car again, just like how i can rebuilt myself after everything that happened!

My partner and I are big fans of Stardew. We play split screen on console, had several farms together, and on our last one managed to get perfection. We're wanting to start again but not sure what to do to make things different.

- we usually play standard farm, have played bits of the others but don't usually get very far

- I'm the primary farmer, she prefers exploration and mines, but I'm the only one who does skull cavern

- I usually fall into the same routines, finish community centre ASAP, make as much money as I can, by year 3 we're fully self sufficient

- we were thinking of splitting funds, but interested if anyone has experience doing this

Any ideas of how people have found a fresh way to approach the game would be really appreciated. TIA

First time on this farm and first time ever making this far in all my years of playing lol.. fully unlocked Ginger Island and got Obelisks! First time ever having an Ostrich or being able to do the Me Qi challenges as well. Starting out with the fish smoker really helped. Currently at 12,383,271g total earnings. Oh and Krobus is my roommate!

Using Gunther’s Library app to track everything has been nice! I love seeing all the different ways people play this game and design their farms so I wanted to share mine.

I am running for perfection, not my first rodeo but this time on an iPad.

I have some missing recipes I'm not sure why, I have high friendships (all hearts) with all the villagers, currently co living with krobus, had other spouses and kids in the past too.

The missing ones:

19 salmon dinner - should be Mailed by Gus after reaching 3+ hearts of friendship

20 fish taco Linus 7+ friendship

43 super meal Kent 7+ friendship

50 roots platter ?

53 pale broth Marnie 7+ friendship

Any idea how to solve/fix this? It's the first time it happens to me

Wanted to rant that I am in year 8, Winter 28, on my second playthrough and you guessed it, I went to bed and woke up and realized I forgot to plant blue grass starters 😩....I don't even want to play anymore. My barns are set up to have enough roaming area for grass to last them all year without ever going to Marnie so now that I don't have any, it just makes me want quit, lol.

I went to the caves to change the difficulty so I can mine radioactive ores and when I used return scepter; it didn’t make the usual noise. I’m like ??? That’s so weird, have yall experienced this?

Once my kids have gotten to their last growth stage they’ll just stand around the house and not go to bed. I’ll get back at 12:00 and they’re still standing

To answer a few questions; I'm not taking on commissions (because around work and life in general, this project took approx. 15 months) but I might put together a pattern at some point.

The blanket is 99% solid (4-round) granny squares, crocheted in DK yarn with a 4mm hook. At 18 x 19 squares, it covers a (UK) Double bed with overhang - see photo 2.

The squares were out together using the join-as-you-go method. Where a join is between two different colours, I used the yarn of the colour I was joining on to for the final loop of my stitches e.g.

Joining yellow to black would be as follows:

(UK treble st) work 3 rounds using yellow (Y).

On round 4, when you are working adjoining stitches (i.e. to join to black (B) square), work treble in Y as usual until you have final two loops remaining on hook.

Without breaking Y yarn, pick up / add in B yarn, YO and pull through final two loops to complete treble stitch.

Slip stitch into neighbouring stitch of B square (through both loops) to begin join, then without breaking B yarn, pick Y yarn back up to work your next stitch.

To be clear, I use several mods. The animal fair is in the Animal Husbandry mod I believe, and I use Elle's Cuter Barn Animals too. I entered a pig. Somehow Marnie's has arrived and mine decided not to come. Lewis did judge us, but Marnie won, lol.

I'm currently at mid-game, and I'm in need of tons of explosive ammo for my skull cavern exploration gear, mainly for farming iridium, prismatic shards, and reaching level 100.

My favourite sidequest in Stardew Valley is collecting golden animal crackers. I haven't been using my shed to make money at all (I am too lazy to do so) so I repurposed them for the greater good.

I really like golden animal crackers.
