Wanted to share some shots of my time in Outlaws. Bravo to the devs who made one of the best renditions of the Star Wars universe in a video game. I’ve completed the game ages ago, but I still come back to run some missions and live in this world for a few hours.

My favorite so far has to be the Crimson Reign Finish + Sodium Laden Fuel.

...But I also like the Verdant Cover Finish for that Slave 1 vibe

Question Downloaded Hunter to rip some game models but I'm having an issue.

The models don't seem to exist! I'm specifically looking for one of the basic Sabacc tables and it's associated textures, but I can't find it anywhere? In fact, it seems like the vast majority of game models and textures that seemingly have to exist just aren't accessible using the program. Am I missing something or doing something wrong?

Discussion Picked Outlaws Up After Years of Avoidance…Is Everyone Doing the Same?

Just picked this one up off Ubisoft+, and it kinda feels like lots of other people are doing the same. I heard nothing about this game other than the hellfire and brimstone it received as reception. That’s neither here, nor there, that discussion seems to have been had a hundred times in my absence lol.

I’m more curious as to how many of y’all picked the game up recently for the first time, or to give it another whirl. What are y’all’s thoughts on it?

10 hours in, very early, and I fell in love. The attention to detail here…insanity. The style, vibe, and tone of the Outer Rim…nailed so far. Dialogue…bountiful. Nearly every location has something to do or see. Haven’t even left the first planet yet…

Genuinely trying to gauge how many people are “rediscovering” the game roughly 2 years later. Im loving it so far, despite its quirks and flaws, and can’t wait to see what more it has in store for me. So upset I missed this one…but atleast I didn’t have to pay for it haha.

Edit: My bad for drudging up the bad memories of what was done to this game. Trust, I agree with y’all that the game was spoiled by Wannabe YouTube Critics and those of womanless virtue. Wasn’t my reason for avoiding it, really. I kinda tried to sidestep that particular discussion, but I get it, sore spot.

I hope Ubisoft reconsiders down the line to reinvest into this franchise, but that’s being incredibly optimistic. I’m just going to make the most of what I have.

LAST EDIT: WHY DIDNT I MENTION THE SOUNDTRACK…BRUH

🎺🎺🎺🎺

Question Did they fix trophies/achievements when switching to a different platform?

I originally started on PS5 but later got the game on PC. I was wondering if achievements auto pop or not. I know some other Ubisoft titles they do, with certain caveats, but I don’t want to be locked out of certain achievements due to being well beyond the triggers.

Media This game was stellar. Number 15 platinum, down.

Not the biggest Star Wars fan but, had a fun time with this title. Although the blaster gunplay felt a bit wonky, like why does a laser gun have recoil? Along side that, the “search general area for a minuscule button prompt” feature was headache inducing to the point where I had to look up multiple times where things were during the playthrough, and the saving restrictions were lame - I still liked this adventure. ND-5 was probably my favorite character from the crew, playing sabacc was dope, and Nix was a fun addition to the stealth / sabotage combat. Hope they make a sequel that fixes a few things and adds some more to the action.

I love this mini game, I just spent 45 minutes trying for the highest score possible. Is it 30,000?

Does anyone here have a higher score? (That would mean there's still room for improvement! 🤩

Discussion Just 100'd the Game. Some thoughts

Post image

I had just gotten into this game not too long ago after putting it off for some time, and I can honestly say it has been an awesome experience. It may have had a rough launch, but it is a very fluid and fun game now. While I agree developers should be held accountable for releasing half-baked products, the early and premature hate this game got before it even hit storefronts is just goofy to me. The hate happened for a myriad of reasons, and none of them were grounded in logic.

In my opinion, it deserves a sequel, or a continuation down the same plot pathing. I can understand why post-launch support ended due to roadmap benchmarks being met, but no sequel or story continuation? That just doesnt sit right. Especially considering the fact that criminal cartels and the general criminal underground, as plots or themes, have been explored on an in-depth level in some expanded universe books.

Ubisoft (or anyone else who wants to pick up the mantle) can do so much with this collective theme. For example:

Most Wanted by Rae Carson follows a young Han Solo and Qi’ra as they operate within Corellia’s criminal underworld, dealing with street gangs and larger criminal opportunities.

or

Shadows of the Empire by Steve Perry features the Black Sun crime syndicate and its leader, Prince Xizor, operating in the period between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

Mind you, Black Sun were mentioned in Outlaws, albeit in passing.

Scoundrels by Timothy Zahn is a heist narrative in which Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Lando Calrissian assemble a team of specialists to infiltrate a Black Sun stronghold and steal a large sum

The list goes on. There are multiple avenues available to deepen the criminal underworld setting and amplify it enough for another project. Hell, I think another book just released, Low Red Moon? Its basically an origin story behind Jaylen Bersha (Vrax) and ND-5. The possibilities could be endless.

All in all, awesome game. The lore can be expanded on twenty-fold. Solidified reasons on why this game didnt get a sequel don't really hold water, to be honest.

An underperformance in sales should not preclude a sequel. I mean, how many franchise giants started off weak, but got their glow on with the help of post-launch support infrastructure? A healthy amount. Blaming the brand is also nonsensical. Just refrain from half-baked releases. Expand, add depth, and SW gamers will be at the storefronts waiting.

Discussion State of the game now (Oct. 2026)?

Hello all.

When the game first came out, I was looking forward to it. I am a big fan of Massive Entertainment, and despite Ubisoft's crap business policies they do put out a lot of games I enjoy.

Anyway, I really liked the game for the first couple hours but once it opened up, a lot of issues popped up. Namely:

  • Vehicle handling and combat was just poorly implemented (I am on PC, for the record; maybe it made sense how they did it for a controller? But on mouse and keyboard it was baffling).
  • In bases, enemies spawned out of nowhere. Literally. I think I was sneaking around and tripped an alarm, and I went to hide in a corner and three troopers literally spawned on top of my head.
  • Stealth was sort of all or nothing. If you tripped the alarm, it seemed like you could not hide again. You had to shut off the alarm. Generally speaking, in most game, you can hide and people search and the alarm resets after a short while.
  • Bugs, bugs, bugs.
  • Visual glitches.
  • Performance issues.

To be clear, I really WANTED to enjoy the game. And I did like WHAT WORKED when I played it. But at a certain point I recall there were some game-breaking issues and I couldn't move forward.

TL;DR: is the game "safe" to play now? Have there been fixes and quality-of-life improvements made to it?

I really want to finish it and have not touched it since the first month or two.

Appreciate your feedback!

Question Is there a 100% progress guide somewhere.

I am looking for a guide saying in what order should I do main/side missions and get collectibles so I can be as near as possible to 100% after my first playthrough. Is something like that available?
