This is something I've been thinking about for a while, but Demetrius is the only Desmond who doesn't have a "reflection" in the Forgers.

Initially, I thought the author planned to introduce a new character for the Forgers, but we're already at about 140 chapters, so I doubt it. Still, I find this interesting. What do you all think?

I avoid 99% of anime because of the weird fan service and sexualization of minors and am trying to find that special 1% that is a good story, and is fan service free. Spy x Family was a lucky find for me, and got me into the genre (that I avoided previously because of the tropes) Frieren is the other one. I was very lucky that my first two anime ever were no fan service ones. Welp…. Now I cannot find any without it and would love some recommendations from fellow “anti-fan service” anime fans. What do you all recommend? I want to add to my collection of shows I can go back and forth with.

(Please, no debating or trying to convince me that “fan service is good and completely fine” because I have my own personal reasons for avoiding it, thank you. )

One thing that I never understood about Anya is why does she sleep in separate rooms from either of her parents? (I have cousins who are 6 and still sleep with their parents). This is the only example I can think at the top of my head but I know there are various scenarios in the show where it feels Anya doesn’t consider them her “true” parents

Now I do think she is subconsciously keeping them at an arms length cuz she is somewhat aware that this family relationship is temporary

Or maybe I’m just thinking too deeply about it and it’s not actually that serious 🧐

I love Yor, truly. She is kind, genuine, and her true nature is kindness and love. She has a dirty job because she needed it to provide, is very protective, and unfortunately, very naive. Her job is based on the corruption of war. The author doesn’t sanitize this. Sure, her lethal skills are played for dark comedy (like being incredibly strong and her fascination with sharp objects) but her killings or intrusive thoughts are never played lightly at all. While Loid has a sense of “coolness” with his spy stuff, the author never makes Yor’s killings look fun. It is dark, lonely, and meant to be taken seriously. Even during the cruise arc, while stylized, the battle was still meant to be gruesome, not funny or glamorous.

My problem isn’t how the show/manga depicts Yor’s actions, it’s how many of the fans view it. Basically, I have seen people defend her lethal job because she is “a hot baddie” or a “badass killer”. Seriously…. Come on. If she wasn’t attractive, they would be playing a very different tune.

Overall, I like Yor because she is sweet, kind, gentle, strong, and only goal in life (as of now) is to be a good mama to Anya, not because she is hot and kills people. Her job is unfortunate and grim (and that is how the story treats it), but helps protect people (at least, to her knowledge). I hope we explore more about Yor eventually, because while not completely sanitized, we have been left mostly in the dark regarding Garden (I think they are pretty shady for hiring a literal child/teen to kill people for them, but hey, just me). Another unpopular opinion I have is I actually want both Loid and Yor to quit their jobs in the end. I know… SO CRAZY. Many fans got pretty mad at me for wanting that, lol

Please tell me some people here find this and have a different opinion of Yor besides just being a “she’s hot, so it’s fine” response. What do you all think? Have you also felt this way? (Let’s be respectful please, just expressing a harmless opinion).

I saw other posts with similar theories, but they weren’t based on the same evidence, and they don’t consider the latest chapters.

I first noticed the shared features between Handler and Melinda:

And I thought that they might be from the same family. Then I saw him :

He works for WISE, and he shares the same eyes as Sylvia and Melinda.

It would be an incredible coincidence for the three of them to be from the same family, considering that Handler is his boss.

I have three theories:

1. They have family ties.
2. Melinda is from Westalis, and so are the other two.
3. It’s just a small detail in the character design that Endo uses to highlight the similarities between East and West, much like the song sung by Yor and Twilight’s mother. It’s as if he were saying, ‘Why are we fighting? We’re the same! Same culture, same features...’

What do you think? Which of these theories is the most plausible? Do you have any other theories or evidence?

Looking at the storyline, Yor’s bond with her coworkers (Camilla and wtv their name was) has become stronger and to me, it doesn’t feel right considering how they treated her before.Like they were straight up bullying her in the beginning and Camilla literally tried to humiliate her in front of a group of strangers at the party. Idk I just hate that they’re becoming friends and that none of them has formally apologized to Yor, especially Camilla for the bitch move she pulled at the party.

I rewatched the entire anime and decided to catch up with the manga and now that I have, I am sad that I don’t have any more content left to consume from one of my favorite (comfort) series

I might decide to rewatch the anime again in a month or so just cuz I feel so burnt out but also that is genuinely such a great series and there is nothing like it that gives off this action packed & comforting feeling

Wait i tot a 3am thought so what if yor try to save anya playing in the road from a car then some scientist see her and take her to laband chain her to wall to test her power but then they realize that yor weakness is her family getting her then they use special chemical gas for yor to faint and then they put ultra realistic vr over her had and yor wake up seeing bond,yuri and loud get kill brutally and at last anya head were chop off and fell on yor

The latest chapter was really lovely. I’m not actually a fan of the Eden-focused side of the story—so I’ve never been a huge fan of Damian or the chapters focused on him—but I really adored this one.

I much prefer Damian when he feels and acts like a little kid instead of a tiny adult; seeing him act like a baby his age is just so cute.

I get that narratively speaking it makes sense for him to make the moves, but at the same time has Jeeves or Mary Jane tried getting Donovan and Melinda to reach out to him? It seems a little unfair that the six year old has to make the moves to have a better relationship with his parents.

Shit someone get a divorce and custody for Melinda if the problem is Donovan.

In Spy × Family, transparent speech bubbles with open outlines seem to signify moments of pivotal truth and genuine honesty.Like anyas confession of telepathy during school dance.But what about speech bubbles with shadows? They appear in several important moments throughout the manga, suggesting that they may carry a distinct symbolic meaning of their own.this Speech buble appears in yors confession and loids moment in SSS party

What do you think Endo is trying to convey through this visual distinction? Could shadowed speech bubbles represent something deeper about a character’s emotions, unspoken thoughts, or the gap between what they say and what they truly feel?

Doing this character template for fun, Anya ended up as the comfort character on the list !

So, I drew Anya back in February when I was like........6 months into my pixel art journey (I started my journey back in september 2025), it's October and I am 1 year and 1 month in my art journey, it's honestly been a great time. I hope you all like the artwork

1. "...She was thus made by accident..." - Chapter 1. (Does this mean that her existence was an accident, or just her abilities?)
2. "...She later escaped from their facility." - Chapter 1. Okay, knowing Anya, she either had serious luck, someone helped her escape, or they let her go on purpose (and let her think she escaped).
3. "...Does Desmond know about this?!" Professor Authen/"Siggy", Chapter 122. Siggy pieces together Anya's identity as Subject 007. Outside of her weirdly specific questions, Anya doesn't really do anything to indicate her identity. Subject 007's presence was unexpected, to say the least. This is also confirmation that Desmond is at least aware of Subject 007's existence.
4. "...Could the plan still be under way?!" - Professor Siggy, Chapter 122. Anya's presence was central to "The Plan". If Siggy thought the plan was cancelled, then he probably thought Subject 007 had either been imprisoned or terminated. The term "under way" indicates that Anya being out in the world was part of the plan somehow. He wasn't expecting Subject 007 to be freely roaming, and with a family, no less.

So, here's what I'm thinking. Either:

• Anya was let go from the facility on purpose so that she could be observed in the outside world (and socialized). Chimera-san could be a listening device/tracker/transmitter of some sort.
• Anya escaped, causing Project Apple to be cancelled (but this is unlikely, considering the lack of any obvious pursuit of Subject 007. Also, Loid probably would have noticed.)
• Anya was "put away" due to the cancellation of Project Apple, but she escaped anyways and no one knew about it.
• Desmond cancelled Project Apple, and thus "The Plan", but the scientists continued Project Apple without Desmond's knowledge; then Anya escaped the facility and they could do nothing about it because it would expose their continued operation to Desmond.
• Siggy's unfortunate memory issues are completely distorting our perception of what happened and we are still missing crucial details.

Am I missing any details that would totally derail my guesses? (Aside from the existence of Anya's mother and those dream-like memories that I totally forgot to take into account?)

Loid’s idea of replacing the actor who is supposed to kiss Yor doesn’t actually solve the problem. Yor is uncomfortable with the idea of kissing anyone, especially in front of a camera, regardless of who the actor is. Furthermore, even if Loid takes the actor’s place, Yor wouldn’t know that she was kissing Loid, since she would still believe him to be just another actor.

From Yor’s perspective, she would simply be kissing a stranger, while everyone watching would assume that she had kissed some random actor. So, although Loid might see this as a practical solution, it fails to address the actual problem: Yor’s discomfort with the kiss itself.

Basically what the title says, I think a new member joining the family would be fun and interesting. Or maybe it’s just because I love cats :)
