Hey Spyro fans! 💜🐉

I recently created r/OpenPeteSpyro, a new unofficial community dedicated to OpenPete, the PC port of the original Spyro the Dragon!

I wanted to create a place where players and modders can share their creations, discover new mods, post gameplay and screenshots, ask questions, and help each other out.

I’ve recently started creating my own OpenPete mods, and it’s been such a fun experience that I wanted to help bring the community together!

If you’re playing OpenPete, interested in modding, or just love the original Spyro, I’d love for you to join us!

💎 r/OpenPeteSpyro

Hope to see you there! 💜

my impression of Spyro! can you guess what Spyro voice actor i was inspired by 😎

i know it's random but it's only a short impression!

and yes Sparx was hurt in the making of this video

Got to see the Spyro statue from E3 in 2000 that was used to promote Spyro: Year of the Dragon! This was at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo this last weekend.

Found in an old Scooby Doo comic

In Cloud Temples, we are actually siding with the wrong side.

In the opening cutscene we can see a wizard trying to petrify a ram into stone and the warlock trying to release it and they keep going back and forth until the warlock steals the wand and releases the goat to attack him.

My theory is that the warlocks wanted to save the goats who wanted to rebel against the wizards and wanted to be released from their stone prison and who knows they could possibly be endangered! But the Wizards encouraged Spyro to slaughter animals who just wanted to live peacefully and the Wizards might be using the animals as experiments for their own egotistical and sadistic reasons just because they want to be known as one of “avalar’s greatest magicians”

I can't remember where I found this. I kept this print out for years. I printed this on 12/22/2003. I see the artist's name is Karrisa. I can't make out her last name. I thought this was cool. I like this fan made pink dragon. I'm a sucker for fan made characters like this. For years I actually thought the pink dragon was Cynder. I might draw my own version of Sanami someday.

First of all thank you everyone for your kind words on my previous post, I'm overwhelmed by all the support I received 😭😭🩷

Some of you might have noticed that I didn't make a bracer for my left arm... That's because I wanted to carry a stupid egg shield 😂😂😂

It's ridiculous and silly. But I love it 😂

Alright. I've finished the Mega Man X SNES trilogy, time to get back to Spyro's programming with his second game ^^

When I finished Spyro 1, I saw someone warn me that Ripto's rage in particular has quite a bit of backtracking, and if that's the case, I'll definitely prepare myself for what's coming 👀

So my 5 year old Nephew enjoys playing Spyro Reignited Trilogy. He's not good at it. I have to help him or give him instructions. But he really enjoy it. Funny thing is I have the original Spyro PS1 Trilogy on my PS3 and he still enjoys it.

Planning to get Spyro A Realm Beyond so we can play it together

Game 11, idc what anyone else says, I like this trilogy

This is New Game+... kinda, I have superflame

For me it has to be one of the hubs from Spyro 2, if I pick just one it'd probably be Autumn Plains because it was the one with the coolest secrets and I spent the most time there. I feel like Winter Tundra is a bit underrated though with its slow, shimmering music track and cosy, cold feeling.

Runners up have to be Dark Hollow from Spyro 1, amazing music and cozy nightime atmosphere with the campfires and street lamps. Cliff Town is another memorable one.

If you love Spyro 2, I made a YouTube video celebrating it recently that you could check out: https://youtu.be/5F2tsfkdT34

Hello ! 😃

Spyro, my first PlayStation 1 game and a franchise I absolutely love !

I still love replaying it on my PS4, it has become a real winter ritual !

I created this little drawing of Spyro and Sparx a year ago, with a background inspired by the Artisans' world. 😊

Cynder is probably the biggest thing to impact the franchise outside of the original trilogy (Besides Dark Spyro), I always saw Cynder’s scale colour change as her healing from her corruption, her scales growing more vibrant as she left her dark past. She was EVERYTHING, and the star of my life. I've now hyperfixated on dragons for my entire life, in the wof fandom and all. Never will I forget when I was 10, in 5th grade, enriched beyond belief by a game, a work of art, an experience that changed me forever, both as a person and in how I see the world. Blessed 20th hatching day to the most tangible, relatable queen of the skies.

Cynder is also a peak totally emo dragon princess waifu lmfao.
