Wax assembled or split?
Getting my boards ready and curious if I should split my board when waxing or what the general consensus is?

Split - I always scrap, brush, buff really well so I don't get tiny wax bits sticking to my skins.

I think the flex between the two would make it a bitch to scrape, I’ve always waxed them split apart for that reason.

I wax when split - just makes scraping a bit easier. Could always buff out together?

I don't have the downhill binding on when I wax, so the split isn't very rigid. Typically I wax them separately. I have dripped the wax and ironed them together but split for scrape and brush.

If it's already assembled, ill wax on ssembled then split to scrape. If already split ill do the whole process split.
Scraping thoroughly is more important on a split as any excess wax can get stuck to your skin glue before the snow has a chance to take it off.

I'm going clean the edges and possibly repair/sharpen them so I want the board split when waxing.

I have done it both ways. I think as skis is a little easier.
