I am replaying spiritfarer and have been having trouble getting marble. I need it to build the rock crusher as I use the marble I got to build a mill so that I could make Alice her favorite food before she went through the everdoor. I spent hours on Saturday going to different shipwrecks to get the marble. And now I need eight more to make the rock crusher. I know about the mine but I can't do that without the zip line and can't get the zip line without another spirit. I can't find another spirit that I can get right now without the rock crusher. I don't remember this being this difficult last time I played.

I’m alive and so is the project! Life got busy and I fell off of it for a bit, but I am proud to say that I have finished painting the buildings! The next step is painting the ship itself and the navigation room. Now that they are all painted, which ones are your favorites?

So I rarely play video games anymore. Most AAA titles just don't interest me. What most captures my attention is indie artsy games that are really trying to do something different. Obviously Spiritfarer fits that mold. Also I love Disco Elysium, Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, and games like Firewatch and What Remains of Edith Finch.
Last night I sought to discover something on Game Pass that scratched the Spiritfarer itch. Meaning "cozy" of course: not too intense or difficult, with a fun resource management gameplay loop. But also with really interesting art and themes.
I think I struck gold by finding "Dredge." I don't see it mentioned a lot on here, so I wanted to recommend it and also see what other people who have played it think about it?
Basically you're a new fisherman in a region full of islands. (The map is reminiscent of Spiritfarer in that way.) If you're into Lovecraft/"cosmic horror" the influence there is almost immediately apparent: You find deformed fish that look like they came from outer space, and no one knows exactly why that's happening. There's something creepy going on in the water at night, and after several hours, I still don't know exactly what. I haven't been attacked by anything yet. There's just some kind of unseen alien or supernatural force that is changing things, and probably driving people mad. At the same time the art style is kind of light-hearted and cartoonish; it doesn't lean too hard into being scary or "dark" despite its setting and themes, something else that reminds me of Spiritfarer.
I'm just excited about this game and wanted to share!

Tell the truth - how often have you left your little clouds on legs unattended?

Hi all,
Been playing Spiritfarer with my girlfriend on the PS5 and we've run into a bug with the Everdoor.
At the time, we had 4 spirits ready to go;
Gustav
Beverly
Astrid
Stanley
Gustav and Beverly went fine, but when trying to take Stanley, he agreed to go, approches the small boat and then stops. No other spirits will talk to us.
Looking at the the Thunder Lotus (TL) site, and speaking to their support, they're aware of the issue, but it won't be fixed. We cannot recover a save from the cloud as it's already been overwritten.
We've tried all the obvious things;
Leave and come back
Close the game and re-open
Get another spirit ready to go to the door (Elena)
Sadly, none of these have worked. Does anyone have a solution to this? TL support suggested some players have seen it work again, but we've had no luck.

Hello everyone! I'm Alison, one of the community managers at Thunder Lotus, just dropping by to let you know that the team behind Spiritfarer just dropped a demo for their next game, At Fate's End, on Steam 😊
If you've been following us since we announced At Fate's End back in 2025, you may have noticed that this new game is more action-focused, but don't worry, it's still a story heavy game with a lot of feels. Our Creative Director Nick says it best: “With At Fate’s End, we’re taking everything we learned from Spiritfarer — that rich emotional core, that interplay of mechanics and narrative — and pushing it into new territory. This is a more intense, more action-driven game, but no less intimate. It’s about how families break apart — and how they might come back together.”
Hope you'll like it!
EDIT: just want to add that if like me, you're not so good at action games, there's a combat difficulty modifier available in your inventory under "State" ⚔️

I played Spiritfarer back in 2023-2024 when it was a free game on Playstation. Loved it, even though I bawled (like most do). It was the first video game to make me feel this way. Well. June of this year, I lost my grandma. She was immensely special to me and I never really knew a life without her just a short drive away. My partner suggested I replay the game and I have been putting it off for one reason or another. But I decided today is the day to start it and start trying to process. I cried hearing the menu music. I dont know how im gonna get through this game a second time, even though its one of my favorites of all time but I also know that the games message would really help me get through grieving(not that theres a rush. I just feel a little bit of grief then tuck it back away in its file, which ik isnt healthy).
Honestly I just really needed to get it off my chest. Like im assigning meaning to this playthrough by admitting im stuck in grieving and cant seem to get myself out of it on the hard days.

No, I haven't played the game yet. No I don't need convincing, I'm sold on it, this game made Yahtzee cry, that's all I need. It's about sales.
So I'm seeing Steam selling this at an absolute banger of a discount. 3,04? Hell yeah!
But as much as I appreciate Steam, I'd rather get stuff on GOG. Especially after recent events regarding licenses and such. But the game sadly isn't discounted on GOG. Is there a reason for this, other than the devs simply not having agreed to it?

My partner and I played Spirifarer together, so it felt appropriate to sneak a quote and image of Stella onto the memorial page of our wedding program.

I came here wondering if this might be a good game for me.
My health isn't looking so good, and I've been doing a lot of crying. Mostly I try to act like nothing's wrong, or I try to outrun it, but my step is slower these days.
Some of the first gameplay tips I saw were about not letting sheep loose on your boat or they'll eat all your stuff.
That made me laugh a little bit.
Thank you
Edit: Thank you all so much for sharing your stories and your kind words with me. I don't feel so alone anymore.

Hi everyone. I have been playing on and off for a few months with no issues but in the last few days there have been some glitches in the game. Anyone else experienced these? This includes:
- A character calling for me during a comet shower, but I cant engage with them to start the event as they are stuck on a stair
- Planting a new tree in the orchard and it automatically planting a cherry tree when I wanted to plant a different one. I deleted the orchard and built a new one and it did the same thing.
- As above but with the garden and carrots
- Going to sleep and the screen going black and not waking up. Had to do a hard reset of console.

Pictured are all the games I've played so far on my switch. I was kicked off the Switch sub for asking a boring question I guess. Dicks. Hopefully you can get the vibe of what kind of game I enjoy from this 💖

1) The original music for the game really is great. It successfully evokes a beautiful ambience on the ship as the diurnal cycle progresses and helps add to the distinctiveness of each island destination.
2) I'm thinking of replaying the game with a deliberate strategy of having as many spirits aboard the vessel as I can who play music that makes other spirits cheerful. Apart from Atul, who should I be collecting?

I am 53 and my adult son played through Spiritfarer and recommended it to me-I have been playing non-stop for days now, I love EVERYTHING about it!!! The gameplay, the artwork, the characters and especially the life lessons. Kudos to the Devs, this game is amazing and I hope they make more editions or spinoffs or what-have-you of this game!!!

I started my journey with spirit fairer after downloading it through game pass as a way to pass the time when recovering from Top Surgery after vaguely remembering I saw some interestinv things about it. I think its fitting to finish it only a couple days before it leaves game pass.
It's gotten me through a lot, dealing with physical changes, emotional changes, life changes. It's a beautiful game with such a beautiful story that's definitely left me changed.
Id love more content but I'm also so content with what we have, everyone passed on satisfied, my boat is the besy it can be, and the sky is full of constellations.

Yepp. I did that. And I just got a new one. And I rage quit again. Fuck this bat. She doesn't get to pass on. I'm sorry? I thought I was playing a comfy cozy wozy 'mmm snuggles and tea' kinda game. I didn't realize the creators would want to give me an aneurysm and a seizure at the same time?

Is there a way to finish the game without completing Jackie, Daria, and Elena's questlines??? Bc I'm fr crashing out over these stupid challenges

I finished the game for the first time the other day and the final cutscene inspired me to paint for the first time in months! I wanted to arrange the petals as the constellations, but couldn’t get it to look right. So, I put a large petal for every spirit you help crossover during the game
