So my friend thought of a show about Spider-Man 2099 based on the comics and adding in some new stuff, that takes place either in the Spectacular Spider-Man earth or The Amazing Spider-Man earth, or an entirely new earth. And he thought of multiple ideas for the show, including Spider-Man 2099 getting an adamantium skeleton. So What If...?

I have always been concerned about the fact that in the cartoon "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" , when we first meet Miguel O'Hara for some reason we are shown a comic book in which events take place on Earth 928, if the current Miguel from Earth is 928-B. Yes, they are similar, but their stories are completely different
Is it a mistake or a way to remind old fans what kind of character it is?
Maybe I got it all wrong. I’ll be glad if someone explains this to me.

Ive been reading the 2099 comics on my way to work ||(ik rare, a redditor has an actual job lol)|| But as i read on and digest the opinions of everyone abt the supporting cast across platforms, I genuinely wonder why it seems like some people tend to hate dana a lot, or at least hold her more accountable for what happened rather than miguel??

like I get it, Dana went from dating gabriel, to cheating on him with his brother (while his brother was also in a relationship), to somehow being in a relationship with Tyler stone, but the scrutiny i tend to see where people call her all types of wh-res, sl-ts, social climbers, etc, when miguel is just as guilty for what happened is nuts to me 😭

Before everyone says it's one of those series where the writer is high and gives immense plot armor to the character he's writing , HOW THE HELL did Miguel die to a bullet like out of all things a bullet to the head??? just because he doesnt have spider sense his reflexes and high senses could help him easily dodge a bullet , But it's a deadpool series so the WIN goes to him ig

So Lanterns just finished, and they killed Hal off after scapegoating and writing him horribly the entire show.

He was said to be "racist", he was a giant asshole, he was a failure of a hero, he got so many innocents killed, John said he "betrayed the Green Lantern oath", he went to prison for 10 years, and when he died, no one showed up to his funeral, no one cared, and his killer was portrayed sympathetically and was allowed to GET AWAY with his murder.

Literally EVERY other character in this show got a happy ending other than Hal, including the villains.

That part is what scares me, since I can see Lord and Miller doing the same thing to Miguel, making him die and allowing EVERYONE else to get their perfect happy endings.

Especially since they already demonized Miguel and made him look horrible too, what's one more fuck you to him.

last post on here so I thought I’d share my newest video! It’s based off of the scene in the 2002 Spider-Man film where the green goblin has spider-man paralyzed temporarily. I also made the original into a 10 hour audio and visual loop using the same suit seen in the 2002 film. Here’s my hot take on Spider-Man 2099. Miguel O'Hara is hands down my favorite Marvel character, but the newer runs have been... different. It feels like every writer who wants to put their own spin on Spider-Man 2099, and Marvel 2099 in general ends up making things way more confusing than they need to be. At some point it starts feeling less like a story and more like a puzzle I'm supposed to solve. Take Wolverine becoming Nova, for example. I understand how it works in the story, but some of us still think it's a little stupid.Then there's Miguel O'Hara: Spider-Man 2099, especially the Exodus storyline. The series felt really jumbled to me at times. There were a lot of plot points that didn't seem to connect well, and Exodus in particular really annoyed me. It felt like characters were being introduced and killed off way too quickly, and most of them weren't even that interesting. The whole thing just came across as a bunch of confusing ideas thrown together without enough time to develop any of them properly.I will say that I enjoyed the one-shot, and the Spider-Man 2099 stuff in The Amazing Spider-Man wasn't bad either. Symbiote Spider-Man 2099 was okay too.But The End 2099 is a completely different story. To me, it just felt like a weird Secret Wars knockoff that gave us Spider-Man 3099, and that whole thing was just bizarre. Miguel is way too important, both in the comics and now in the movies, to just be replaced like that. What I miss most is the classic feel of 2099. The original run had a unique charm and knew exactly what it wanted to be. That's what made it fun. Lately it feels like the books are trying so hard to reinvent everything that they've lost some of what made Spider-Man 2099 special in the first place.Anyway, that's my take. What do you all think?

Did they actually put swept back vamp hair on purpose as a gag to mig being a "vampire"? Anyways I fact checked it and it's also a ugc made almost a day after the movie came out so I guess it is based off him

Love the original 90s run, hate how Dana was handled, specially in the last issues she was alive for.

So, trying to keep it somewhat canon accurate, which is hard to do so when all we got of Dana is "sweet. pretty. girly. girlfriend.", I made a different end result for their breakup.

I genuinely hate how all the closure we got from their breakup was a quick kiss and then Dana's death immediatly after, which, for a girl Peter David himself said was Miguel's one true love, the characters got over extremly fast, specially Miguel. Yes I know the consequences of her death hunt Miguel for many issues after, it's just not done in a way I like.

And god, don't get me started on the character assasination Dana went thru in the last few issues she's in... I mean, she and Miguel mention having met at Gabriel's, plus the fact Dana couldn't stand Miguel at first, (no mentions of cheating at first mind you) just for it all to change out of nowhere to somewhat justify Xina's jealousy and, later on, Dana's death? That's just lame to me, honestly...

I know I'm mostly alone on my liking of Dana, but I'm sure we can all be civil about it, right?

Yes I'm aware it's not like Miguel to just let go of frustration so fast, I didn't feel like making more pages to make it make sense tbh lolol
