Merchandise First Holo Figure!!
I've never purchased a high quality figure like this before but this is my very first and I love it. Pre-ordered it a couple days ago and it'll be a fun surprise when it unexpectedly comes next year lol. I'm so happy to see a childhood favorite show getting revamped I hope the community excitement will create more opportunities for new merchandise (A Lawrence figure would be right on the money) P.S. that Prime 1 figure is awesome and so high quality but for reasons the price and my lack of experience collecting helped me keep my wallet closed (though very difficult it looks awesome) if any of you serious collectors pre-ordered that prime 1 figure though let me know what you think!

In my opinion , the Prime 1 Studio Masterline Holo Figure is a gorgeous figure, just not of Holo. It looks impeccably well crafted and I've no doubt the paint job will be amazing. But the expression on her face is not Holo. The dress is not Holo. The generic Greco-Roman aesthetic is not Spice and Wolf. Sure, Holo is ancient and was alive centuries before the story we know. But that's just it. The story, and the Holo we know, are very much late medieval Europe. We don't have stories of Holo accidentally screwing with ancient Empires. So the whole thing just feels unfamiliar to the character we know and love. So, even if the price was not an issue, I personally don't blame you for passing on that one.
This one on the other hand is based on a drawing by Spice and Wolf light novel original artist Jyuu Ayakura. Who in collaboration with the imagination of, and descriptions given to us on paper by author Isuna Hasekura, is the person most responsible for giving life to the character of Holo the Wisewolf of Yoitsu. So this figure is without a doubt worthy of adding to any collection. The only thing I think the sculptors didn't nail 100% from the original artwork is her expression. Some people have suggested the eyes in particular are a little off. But it's still undeniably Holo through and through. Her pose. Perfect. Her clothes. Perfect. The little braid at the end of her hair. Perfect. I also wish this one was a scale figure though. Maybe 1/7 scale. Because at only 6.5cm tall, this a tiny figure indeed. I'd love it if she was larger and could take a more prominent spot in my collection.
I'm certain you will love her. No doubt she will be the first figure that leads you on a collecting journey of your own.

I love the attention to detail you've given to this comment and you've nailed all of the same things I felt about the Prime 1 studio figure. Gorgeous and detailed I want it so bad but ultimately it doesn't FEEL like Holo however I would still buy that thing so fast if I didn't notice the sizeable dent in my bank account 😂 its gorgeous and anyone would want it. I love that such a high quality figure exists of her (or will in a year).
And as for this figure you're totally right about the eyes but for the same thing you mentioned that it was based on illustration by Jyuu Ayakura I love that it's authentically her by comparison and I don't know if it was a Typo this is definitely a tiny figure for the money but it's 6.5 inches which is around 16.50 cm. I'm kind of crossing my fingers that the attention to detail will lead to like a quality over quantity situation I lover her and thank you again for your comment it made my day

Anytime, always happy to brighten someone's day.
Plus, if Isuna Hasekura decides one day to write a short story about Holo where she ends up being the Wolf in the founding Myth of Rome (I can so picture little miss "I do not wish to be called a god" completely by accident being responsible for the rise of Rome. Probably the fall too. No doubt Holo also introduced Helena to the Emperor lol), I'll take back everything I said about the Prime 1 Studio Masterline Holo figure (except maybe about the sour expression on her face + needing a volumizing shampoo)

Lovely figure, bit expensive for me but it looks quality.

For the size I agree. This figure is only 6.5cm tall. If it was a 1/7 scale figure, the price would be a lot more reasonable

It was a tough justification process because not only was it the price it was but I also had to pay hand over fist to get them to ship it to the US. It's ended up being about $160 after the tariff and shipping fees. No brag I was sad but I figure if I only buy this one it won't become a habit. I'm hoping the fine detail makes up for the lack of size sitting at 6.5 in it is pretty little but I'm ready still super excited

There will probably be more when it is released, but most places are no longer taking orders for this one at the moment. It does look like you can still order it here though:

Two things I would LOVE to see that probably won't ever happen. A figure of Holo in wolf form!! She is so cool looking and intimidating in the original show her eyes have those ringed colors and it's just perfect. That would be awesome.
Another one!! I love that scene in episode 1 where Lawrence first finds her in the cart she's wrapped up in the tarp cover and he's outside of the cart with his sword drawn on her looking stern and telling her to get out if there was a scene set with like a wagon and the two of them I mean come on that has so many layers but too difficult to mass process maybe. Do I have any friends with a resin printer and some 3D modeling skills? JK but still that would be so awesome

All the new Holo merch has been amazing especially that Prime 1 figure. Sadly I can't justify the price no matter how grand! We just got a chibi Lawrence so hopefully that means more Lawrence is yet to come. For now the perfect Holo figure has yet to appear to me so I still keep just the old kotobukiya one still.
Hope when she arrives you enjoy the details and beautiful paint work.
