Sorry for the delay, my PC wouldn't open the game

Working on the roof for my home base in my custom save and while trying to build this separate piece for a lookout tower connected to my roof, I went to put up a vertical log and it started the "lift diagonal log with a vertical log" animation but the vertical log was completely invisible, and remains to be.

I cannot remove the invisible log. I cannot put another log in its place. I cannot put a diagonal log directly to the LEFT of the invisible log because its registered as an upright vertical and only gives me the red outline arrow to connect it as a horizontal, but refuses to do so because THERE IS NO VISIBLE LOG. I also cannot remove the log UNDERNEATH it, because despite there being NO LOG ABOVE IT, the log whines at me with the red X going "NOOO- NO WE CAN'T BE REMOVED BECAUSE THERE'S ANOTHER LOG ON TOP OF ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I'm extremely frustrated because this ONE log, this ONE bug is going to ruin the entire plan for the roof of this house and I cannot find a single article or piece on how to fix it besides "just quit and reload" or "tweak the graphics" (both of which I have ALREADY TRIED) and much less, any news of bug fixing anytime soon.

Is there even ANYTHING I can do, or is my entire build just fucked now?

I really would like to add this but I dont wanna mess up my save and builds.

I want to build a castle style base backing onto a large cliff but havent found one with a river near it? Can anybody reccommend one?

I have a pc, and every time I load/run the game (on the lowest settings) it still looks incredibly choppy, with an incredible lag. I bought a prebuilt pc about a year ago, and everything runs on it, except for this game!

These are my pc specs: CyberPowerPC - Gaming Desktop - AMD Ryzen 5 5500 2022 - AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT 4GB - 16GB DDR4 Memory - 1TB SSD

I desperately want to play this game as best I can, and believe me when I say I have tried every combination of settings in order to make this work. Please can someone help me, or give me a list of settings I could try? Or perhaps better parts in my pc is what I need?

I was playing this game and started thinking about that King Kong game I played as a kid which was one of my favorite games. If the dev team for this game tackled building a survival game based on Skull Island I would 100% buy that.

The original novel fell into US public domain but it really could loosely be based on it anyways.

This past few weeks I have seen these videos on the internet where they put a full brain program of a fly to games and even robots to simulate or teach what to do. They also tried to put the brain program to a robot which gives it the ability to learn on its own like how to use its body in short it has its own mind now. Imagine if this kind of data will be put on the the cannibals of the "Sons of the Forest" 😱 I bet it would be more terrifying. Imagine them just watching you build and learn from you so they could build even traps or use weapons and gliders

However, I'll have to stop construction for a few days. I need to delete large parts of the structure using commands because the performance is terrible; even a single log will fail the screen froze for 11 seconds

I've just noticed, when placing a log beneath a structure, that there's two positions for it. Is one of them a design feature within a build and another is potentially a load-bearing feature?

If in the future I wanted to remove said log, would it not be possible and break down my entire base because it's load-bearing or would it be removed easily just because it's a design feature. I don't know if there's a difference at all

Hi, kind of a weird question, but Kelvin looks exactly like a dude who broke my heart and it makes playing feel really weird on occasion lol. Does anyone happen to know of any mod (or other way) to change Kelvin's appearance? I just want him to change his face to make it feel less creepy!

stuff like duct tape, cloth and rope I always run out of it before I even get to make bone armor and when I do I'm always in need of more bone armor how can I farm these consistently? if there's a location where all 3 spawns I can use the save scum method i dont mind

I don’t want to move, so what are my options? They are destroying my stuff almost daily and kelvin gets scared
