Are you heating already hot water in that?

Technically, yes. Once the water is hot the first time, you are heating water the is dropping in temperature but not cold.

I asked a plumber that same question, after using that phrase, he didn't find it as funny as I thought it was. Oh, well. 🤷‍♂️

But we just say “I’m using the the ATM” nobody calls it ATM machine. We also say “hot water tank” or “water heater”.

The video came out in 2015 and before that, many people would say "ATM machine". As for "hot water heater" thats more the 90s to early 2000s which isnt used as much for obvious reasons.

Saying that nobody uses tautology or pleonasm is just not paying attention to their surroundings. Chai Tea is a good example. Theres also Naan bread. VIN number, PIN number...there's more but I think you get the idea.
