Doing this to your teenaged children isn't that bad but most of these kids are under 7, why the hell would anyone think it was appropriate to traumatise what is emotionally one step up from a baby

Idk man. When I saw The Ring around this age, I convinced myself for like a year that I’d see the girl in tree lines or dark parts of the house lol.

Definitely not “traumatized” but it really fucked me up for a minute there

I remember reading one of those creepy chain emails as a kid that had a jump scare photo of the girl from the exorcist at the end, I was totally convinced she was going to murder me through the dialup. Kids are gullible and easily spooked.
