I dunno I got told so many ghost stories and saw some shit as a kid and I was never traumatised. I got nightmares for a week or 2 sure but that's about it. Reddit community just like to exaggerate. Weak ass generation

I feel it in my bones that you are one of these distinguished gentleman who jerks off to the “tell em Large Marge sent ya” reveal in Pee Wee’s Big Adventure or the scene in Superman III where the computer turns that woman into a robot. As am I.

Holy large Marge. I used to get my parents to skip that scene.

Scaring people is a right of passage. Starts with getting a good scary story or jump scare yourself. Edit. And if it’s not cool with them, you obviously stop.

And scaring your parents back is peak childhood.

My mom would prank us by standing on the other side of doors to jumpscare us as we opened them. Especially coming out of the bathroom. So one day I left a toy snake coiled in her bathroom. 😃

My brother froze one of those black spider rings inside an ice cube and put it in our mom's drink.

When she woke up from a nap she took a sip after it had melted and jumped onto her lips. She screamed so loud we heard it on the other side of the house.

It’s not the scare it’s the posting it online that does it for me. To me a scare is for fun, between the whoever is scaring and who gets scared. Then when you put it online its seems as though its to embarrass and that doesn’t sit right with me.

Did any of those kids look like they were having fun? At all? To YOU a scare is fun. IT IS NOT TO THEM.

At no point did they shake it off and laugh - they ALL ran to the people who made them scared for safety. Some of them were talking about how much they love their parents/mommy when they were the ones that scared them this way.

Your fun comes from watching THEM be afraid and that is psychotic.

Bro obviously that’s how you’d react at first that’s what jumpscares do 🙄 but i bet those kids laughed their asses off looking back at the videos especially after watching the adults laugh, they’ll understand that it’s silly. This is harmless, yall just a weak ass

Yeah theres a massive difference between being told fuckin ghost stories and seeing a ghost next to you while filming and not being old enough to comprehend its not real.

You got told a ghost story. These little kids just lived one. Big difference

It's 1. Posting the scare and 2. Using a phone to do it. Our kids are so sickly attached to devices and have no perception of the distinction between their devices and real life

This absolutely would've traumatized me as a kid. I had such an active imagination that I sufferred a lot of sleepless nights as a child thinking of all the horrible ghosts and things hiding around the house and that was just my own imagination I was dealing with.

God forbid any of these kids have genes that trigger mental illness later in life because if they end up getting schizophrenia or anything these types of figures will just keep showing up in their lives unless they get the right medication.

The fact that you're being downvoted seems to me like a sign that these people (downvoters) have no sympathy for anyone with experiences different from their own.

They probably have no idea that some people LITERALLY see figures that aren't there, hear sounds that aren't real, etc.

They just like to stay in their experience and ignore everyone else's.
