"Did you know [insert opposing party candidate] is a lizard alien baby rapist? Well they are and they want to eat your children and steal your retirement and kill your friends. I'm the only candidate an intelligent rational god-fearing American should even consider voting for and I know you are one of those so I'll be counting on your vote to secure my position protecting you from the money I'll steal from you next year. I, [vile barely human specimen], approve this message."
In Kansas it's "this guy supports child rape and doesnt want the epstein files released," versus "this guy wants men to play in women's sports, just like HILLARY or KAMALA." Like, they have nothing else to go on but rage baiting the conservative voters.
In my local republican primary one of the talking points was "whether or not the mainline candidate had a trump sign in his yard before trump was elected". And that wasn't even the worst Ad from the primary.
Like did they seriously not have anything remotely more important to debate.
It makes me long for the days of "if you or a loved one was diagnosed with mesothelioma you may be entitled to financial compensation". Atleast that one was educational on the dangers of asbestos as the scary lung cancer rock.
In TN, they're running an ad against a democrat because his business "worked with China" which apparently makes him a Communist on the spot, and if you're a red-blooded, gun-lovin, burger-eatin, American patriot, you wouldn't dare vote for a Commie to run your gubment!
I would have to look into it, but dont the majority of giant corpos work with China, in some capacity? Whether it is producing stuff, or selling/operating in the Chinese market? Or anybody who uses Tiktok?
It's pretty much the same thing down here in Alabama, it's genuinely so bad. "He wants men in girls locker rooms" is one of the few crazy things I remember because every ad break is me muting the TV or getting up to do something else until the game comes back on.
The Bob Brooks commercials are the funniest I have ever seen . It’s some old lady saying he borrowed $160,000 from his wife’s family then divorced her & never paid it back. If Bob brooks can screw over his own family, imagine what he’ll do to yours ….. I can’t tell you what the man is running for or what party he is , but it is comical .
This is what is wild about American TV imo. I watch alot of college football and NFL games on a certain streaming website and the politcal commercials are just bananas. Straight up hit pieces like "So and so is turning your community GAY AND TRANS and are using your tax money to do it! Not only that, they keep bringing in these dang dirty illegals to STEAL jobs from hard working Americans. Vote me and I will stop that from happening!"
[Other Candidate] wants you scared to hide their record of bad thing! We only talk about [Other Candidate] like we have to explain why you can't eat poo in public you poo eating fool. This is the opinion of reddit liberals for sure. Conservatives say the same thing about liberals. The truth is there are pieces of shit on both sides of the aisle.

While true both parties have had some scumbag child rapists, recently it's been Republicans and Church leaders getting caught. Also the fact that the Republican President is a rapist who helped run sex trafficking in pageants with Epstein puts the Republicans far ahead of Democrat sex pests.
I think the Talarico ad that says Paxton let his pedophile buddy out of prison is dishonest and gross. I don't even say I think he should stop, just that liberals should be honest about what we're doing. I've been called a pedophile multiple times for saying that.
The beauty of the pedophilia attack is that anyone who disagrees with the attack can be credibly accused of being a pedophile. Point out that paxton (who is a POS) tried to put the guy in prison and you must be a pedophile as well. Go to a conservative place and point out that Talarico doesn't support sex change surgery for minors and you must want to cut off boys penises, too.
I tend to agree that republicans seem to be worse right now, especially with Trump in office. But, I also know the availability heuristic can cause biases....
Man, I have been a Talarico supporter and the first time I saw his ad I thought it was refreshing hearing him just refuting the smear campaign against him. And then he drops the pedophile line at the end and pretty much ruined it. I don’t even care if it is true about that one man. Ken Paxton is a big enough piece of shit that there is plenty of things to choose from just in the way he does his job.
This is the part I don't like. Paxton prosecuted the guy, got a hung jury, and then did a plea deal. The victim testified during the first trial and didn't want to testify in a 2nd. According to paxton, he had no chance of getting a guilty verdict without the testimony when he couldn't get one with the testimony.
IMO, this is more like incompetence than protecting the pedo.
I don't see this ending well for our country. We by and large believe it is ok to treat pedophiles as sub human- it worries me that this is what we're calling each other on TV every night.
Republicans have done it for decades. Maybe you have to play dirty to win, but it's still playing dirty.

I was in Michigan last week, and EVERY SINGLE AD, no matter how you are getting TV was just moronic political mudslinging. The guys who are literally dismantling freedoms before our very eyes are trying to scare you that FREEDOM WILL BE GONE FOREVER if you vote for the guy trying to stop them.
PA is the same. We have been a battleground state for a long time so we are bombarded with political ads all the time. Every election, every primary. It never ends.
You aint kidding here in Ohio there is a campaign ad with a transgender woman man whatever that plays non stop and as it turns out the person isn't even from Ohio. Its obnoxious and not made for my 9 year old son to watch and ask questions about sex changes as a child which is what this person had

I have gotten a lot of sexual ads too. BlueChew and Trojan ads that are extremely explicit with no warning while i have johnathan young Disney songs on with my kid while we play.
Lowly American here, for contrast what are commercials like elsewhere? I don't know if I could get by without commercials for meds that I can neither pronounce or afford.

Im just happy their ad is being wasted on me. I mute them every time they are on and my daughter copies me now. One currently instantly goes into about some dude paid a minor 10 bucks to shut up. do I need this every ad break I can't vote in this country anyway. Give me back the cool jurassic Park toy ads of the 90s or something fun.
