Despite the disgusting nature of what's going on here... everything to do with Trump just seems so poetic, like he's a personified construction. What he is, looks like, and represents. It's all so cohesive. Fake tan, desperate hair style, no joy, humourless bully, literally stinks of sh*t, low IQ, hyper narcissist, zero empathy, only in it for the money and the fame, gold everywhere... He's the brightest, shining example of someone who SHOULD NOT be in charge of ANYTHING.
He's an anti-person.
You write him as a character in fiction and it would be considered cartoonish.

Some realize what they are, but desire to be fascists. Others lie to themselves every day to prevent from admitting what they really are. The last batch hate the rest of us so much that they would personally allow republicans to rape their children if it they were told republicans were super raping liberal children.
I cannot tolerate any of them any longer and will back anybody saying they will utterly crush them using the same methods the republicans used on us and others. Deny them their right to protest, arrest whole swaths of them for doing so, charge them all with conspiracy to commit terrorism and terrorism itself, and lock them away for life.

Seriously everyone across the world in democracies needs to take this more seriously. They have no shame you cant beat them with the high road. Im live in Alberta Canada, where the US is funding a sepatist movement to break up Canada. Even if its just a small subsection of thr population, there has to be consequences for those who openly support fascism and division. If you dont want violence the time to act is now because a couple of years from now theyll be entrenched.

I personally love the British take by Nate White
It goes on well beyond these two paragraphs:
A few things spring to mind. Trump lacks certain qualities which the British traditionally esteem. For instance, he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour and no grace – all qualities, funnily enough, with which his predecessor Mr. Obama was generously blessed. So for us, the stark contrast does rather throw Trump’s limitations into embarrassingly sharp relief.
Plus, we like a laugh. And while Trump may be laughable, he has never once said anything wry, witty or even faintly amusing – not once, ever. I don’t say that rhetorically, I mean it quite literally: not once, not ever. And that fact is particularly disturbing to the British sensibility – for us, to lack humour is almost inhuman. But with Trump, it’s a fact. He doesn’t even seem to understand what a joke is – his idea of a joke is a crass comment, an illiterate insult, a casual act of cruelty.
79
u/SmoothTalkingSpud Jul 29 '26
More to the point of him never saying anything funny, he also never seems to laugh either.
66
44
u/Dreadgoat Jul 29 '26
He laughs and jokes frequently, but almost always in ways that make a normal person recoil in disgust.
Last time I saw him smile was delivering Lindsey Graham's eulogy, when he interrupted the script: "Lindsey was liked by everybody -- well! not everybody! haha!"
This is what he considers to be a humorous comment.

This is why I don't understand people who don't even like him but admit that he's "charismatic". He has no charisma AT ALL. Dude is a pathetic excuse for a human and his "humor" is 5th grade level at best. Maybe he's charismatic to the toddlers that vote for him, but he has nothing resembling actual charisma that I can see
14
u/Aeseld Jul 29 '26
He is charismatic to a certain type of person... The people who want to say the things he's saying and to get away with it.
92
u/highsinthe70s Jul 29 '26
And he never smiles. Never. Sure, he grimaces on occasion and affects the illusion of a smile, but it's humorless and forced. I'm sure the only time he experiences something that he considers funny is when there is harm involved. It's hard to imagine a more grotesque person.
59
u/BigHeatCoffeeClub65 Jul 29 '26

u/SAAARGE Jul 29 '26
His "smile" looks like something he picked up by watching humans do it, and tried to replicate by forcibly curling his lips.
38
u/JRM34 Jul 29 '26
That's the wildest part of all this to me. His every attribute is a wildly-exaggerated Disney villain; if he were a character in a children's show I'd consider it insulting to the intelligence of children that they made him so cartoonishly evil.
I'm not religious, but he gives major Antichrist vibes, the direct mirror image opposite of every characteristic/trait that I have ever heard someone describe as Virtuous or good with literally zero redeeming qualities.
I used to be really interested in discussing people with different political opinions, to understand what they believe and how they got there. I've lost that interest when it comes to Trump, because it's such a black-and-white issue. The only explanations for liking him are ignorance, stupidity or malice, and I just don't find any of that compelling.
→ More replies (2)30
u/Bo0ty_man Jul 29 '26
In some communities he is even deemed anti-christ. As in THE antichrist. Thats also poetic , like you say, because he's anti christ. He's the least Christian acting Christian you could imagine...

u/Reyall Jul 29 '26
For real. It's like he is a scrapped character from a cartoon that failed miserably.
22
u/StrawDog- Jul 29 '26
You couldn't write Trump as a fictional character in anything but satire/comedy.
He just wouldn't be believable. Everything about him is a contradiction, he's an empty shell - impossible to pin down any actual character because everything about him is hollow.
What/who does a man like that love? He's clearly a narcissist, but I'm not sure I'm convinced that his love for himself is anything but surface level. I also very much doubt that he actually has strong feelings about anyone else in his life.
Money? Does he actually care about money or is it just another prestige-adjecent "thing" he can collect.
He isn't a patriot or a nationalist. He wears the costume occasionally, but he clearly doesn't actually have any strong attachment to the idea of nation. He is an atheist or a "cultural christian" at best and I doubt he's ever really interrogated any religious belief he holds...
He plays golf I guess, but his interest there seems to be mostly about winning and being seen playing golf.
Like... what is this man? What is actually under the slime, gold-plated exterior? Where is the person?

What a power move to do something that make you lose all respect for the person.
→ More replies (1)67

Back then, Royals had basically all the authority power that there was to have. There wasn't really the privilege to "lose respect" for them. You basically did what they told you to do. How they told you to do it, and then you thank them for the opportunity. All the while pretending like they shit gold. Any failure or refusal at any point in time for any reason would result in imprisonment/torture/death.
So yeah, they'd shit themselves and make you describe what they ate prior as a power move.
