Community Showcase I spent the summer mapping 500+ robotics companies, their jobs and events. What am I missing?

I don't know if I'm the only one finding this, but I go to a lot of robotics events and meetups and often hear about good ones after they've happened. I've also spent the last year looking for jobs in robotics and kept missing interesting roles. It feels like everything is scattered across so many different places.

So I started putting together a site for myself to keep track of robotics companies, their jobs, events and news. It turned into a bit of a summer project and has grown to 500+ companies and 11,000+ jobs so far.

There's definitely a bias towards companies that are easy to find online, particularly in the US and UK. I'm sure I've missed loads of smaller teams, university spin-offs and companies in other parts of the world.

I thought it might be useful to others too, and I'd be interested to hear from anyone else looking for jobs or going to robotics events:

I've attached a short screen recording of what I've built so far.

Link in the comments if anyone wants to have a look.

The Singularity is Near Where’s the limit with AI agents on complex engineering work?

• Upvotes

I’ve been using AI agents heavily for thinking through and solving complicated engineering problems. When the task is explained with enough rigor and the model has solid context, it regularly produces solutions that are better and faster than what I would have come up with myself.

The context problem is still the biggest friction (especially outside pure coding), but once that’s handled the results are often thorough and high - confidence.

This is starting to raise a bigger question for me:

Is there a point where these systems start generating approaches or abstractions that humans simply can’t fully track or verify anymore? And if we become heavily dependent on them for the hard thinking, what does that actually look like in practice?

Curious how people here are thinking about the ceiling (or lack of one) on agentic systems for real engineering work.
