Could anyone please help me? I've tried both the melody first and lyrics first approach. But when I try one, for example, when I write the melody first, the lyrics turn out trash and vice versa. I have written good melodies before. It's just that back then, i was composing and not songwriting. A while back, i made a reddit post regarding something similar and someone in the comments said that lyrics don't matter as much as a good melody. But i don't want my lyrics to deteriorate just for a melody and again vice versa. I have written several great lyrics and i don't want to abandon them.

Hi everyone! I’d like to share my song, “No Another You.”
It’s an emotional song about someone who feels irreplaceable, even after the relationship has ended. The memories remain, and no matter how much time passes, no one else seems to feel the same.
I wanted to capture that bittersweet feeling through emotional melodies and a smooth, atmospheric pop sound.
I think it’s a song for late-night listening, quiet drives, or moments when someone from the past comes to mind.
The video includes Korean subtitles.
I’d love to hear what you think about the song. Thanks for listening!

This was me 12 years ago at band practice in Virginia. I was just discovering my voice and I had only been playing guitar for about 18months. I would often dream about opening for a big band, getting signed, and playing fun shows all over the world.
A lot has happened since then.
I’ve experienced heartbreak and finding love again, I have 3 amazing kids, changed day jobs multiple times, moved across the country, lost my best friend and longtime mentor, lost my father to cancer, and the list goes on.
What hasn’t changed is my love of making and performing music.
I’ve never stopped because it always keeps feeding my heart and soul. Which I believe is true for all arts (If we’re close I’m sure you’ve heard me encourage you and your art and if not, then here’s your reminder that THE WORLD NEEDS YOU AND YOUR ART).
I haven’t opened for a big band - but I had the opportunity this year and was told I needed a music video for my original song “Before You Drop”(which we just finished filming last month!). More on that Coming Soon…(still have to edit it).
I haven’t been signed to a major label - but I have been signed with Bananas Entertainment for 3 years and thanks to my awesome agents Brian and Meg I’ve had more and more opportunities each year to perform at cool places for cool people ;)
I haven’t played shows all over the world - but I have played a lot of meaningful shows and this year I got to see my family’s happy faces as what felt like all of Green Bay was cheering for me after I performed Before You Drop at the farmers market.
While my dreams from back then haven’t all panned out exactly as I’d initially wished, I’m still climbing and giving it my best and I know younger me would be proud of me today.
Don’t stop trying fam.
Celebrate wins of all sizes.
Haters already gave up so don’t let them in.
Much love,
N8

Looking for a vocalist
Good afternoon, I am looking for a vocalist (gender is not important). I am a beginner in music, looking for a like-minded person with whom we will develop a musical project. Also this year I took part in the closed selection for Eurovision from Switzerland, I also plan to qualify for San Marino

What's up I'm Robben a 23 year old producer from Belgium, I've been making music for over 10 years.
I'm looking for a vocalist/singer to Collab with on a new track I wanna release, it's a deep house track I've been working on for a while now.
Im searching someone who has a good microphone at home and who doesn't mind calling to make the song as good as possible.
I already wrote the lyrics and the track ready for the vocals.
Let me know if this sounds like something you would be interested in😁.
Thanks

I wrote this in September 2026 and own the rights to this composition. This is in the spirit of the late great John Prine.

Hello, I am a 23yr old songwriter. I play guitar and piano; I don't have the best vocals ( Only enough to carry a tune and melody). I am lyric-centered. My genres are pop, indie-pop, and folk pop. I don't have high production skills; I make raw acoustic demos with melody, lyrics, and chords.
I'm just looking to sell songs (exclusive rights). I don't know where to start asking. Anyone here looking for something like that or have any suggestions? I would be grateful. Thank you.
