To those Transvestigating Shen

This has probably been done to death, but I feel like this video has a pretty good message in relation to what I've been seeing in some of this sub.

That being;

I don't think it's our place to care about whether or not Shen is cis, a repressing trans person, or some secret third option.

I'm sure those telling him to stop "repping" aren't doing it out of genuine malice. They probably just don't want someone to go through what they must have on their way to finding their true selves.

Yet my point still stands.

Whatever he is, it's HIS BUSINESS. Leave mothafuckas alone.

I believe that people put Shen into a box by speculating on this sorta thing

Sure, he shares similarities with pre-transition people or "eggs" as you say

But, I mean, I share similarities with black guys my age, does that necessarily mean I'm a black guy in secret?

(Right that might actually be kind of a dumbass argument now that I think of it)

The point being though, I believe one can share similarities/similar thoughts to trans people without being one themselves. For instance, Shen could be something completely different than a tgirl. Just because he's been doing the speculation doesn't automatically mean he is 100% without a doubt trans.

There were people calling you immature, but I'd like to let you know: You're cool. You can see the flaws in your own arguments and work to rethink them, and you have the ability to concede and apologize when you think it's necessary. It's a skill people lack these days so I just wanted to say I appreciate seeing it.
